" Sans, Papyrus! " I turned, hearing the sweet feminine voice that came from behind me. I wasn't stricken with fear, the voice rendering my unease useless. What a saw was a pure delight, filling my heart with a sense of wonder I had never felt. Sans and Papyrus stood at ease, their backs straight. What could have gotten into the two skeletons? I narrowed my brow at their actions, still finding them somewhat baffling. That was until the monster was acknowledged.
" Hiya Old Boss " The Old Boss wore simple clothes. A long brown skirt with a lilac dress shirt and black overcoat. She wore a sunhat decorated with a simple yellow flower, something I wouldn't have expected to see from an ex mafia member. Her white fur and floppy ears made her look so sweet and innocent but who knew what terror laid under the monster's calm exterior.
" I told you boys, it's just Toriel now " Toriel. Even her name sounded as sweet as an angel with not even a hint of brutality. Her smile was as sweet as honey as she turned to look at me. Pleasantness spread across her features, ruffling my brunette hair as she did. I smiled back, wanting to show her that I wasn't afraid of her, my soul leaping with joy at the prospect of a monster such as her, calm and collected. I got a very similar vibe from Sans but something laid under his calm exterior for sure but Toriel, she could mask it.
" Hello Toriel " The goat woman giggled gently, handing a few bread rolls to Lil' Pup for later consumption. The child let go of me, hugging the old boss tight in response to her actions. A street light flickered above us, briefly seeing the horror in the monster's that lay in the shadows that they kept well hidden. It my have been a trick of the light but non the less it shook me a little, instantly calming as the light returned, allowing me once more to see the world through rose tinted glass. Sans chuckled, stomping his cigar into the ground.
" Wow..these lights really leave ya in the dark huh? " Papyrus just face palmed while his old boss chuckled with delight. I laugh too, until I see something from the corner of my eye. A dark figure. I felt myself being pulled towards it, almost like being in a trance. I couldn't fight it. Why? What was this feeling?
