I looked up from my food, hearing what Sans had just said. I had food smeared on my face from constantly eating and I could feel my face heat up from discomfiture. I was so ashamed of myself, still not having full control over my actions when it came to food. I guess I just wasn't used to having access to food again. I could now see how much my time on the streets had warped me, changing my habits and lifestyle. It weighed heavy on my heart, almost like lead. I knew I had to get out of it and soon. The mafia requires dignity, something I didn't have much of at the time. I watched as Sans grabbed a couple of coats from the rack, one for Lil' Pup and one for me. I dodged the flying coat with a swift action as it was thrown at me with such an unnatural force. Sans just chuckles lightly at my actions, heading toward the door without a word passing his bony teeth. I placed my now empty plate on the table, throwing the coat over my shoulders. I didn't want to be too warm, not knowing if the weather outside was the same as my part of the world. Papyrus grabs Lil' Pup's hand, turning to me with a monumental smile on his face.
" Sans means well y'know? He just wants to show you aroun' some " Could it all be as simple as that? I turned to face the house, knowing I would be coming back but something inside me telling me to observe this world like it was my last glance. I sighed, feeling the lingering heaviness in my heart and turning to face Papyrus.
" Let's go " I smiled softly and followed Papyrus out of the door, hearing a gentle locking behind me. There was no turning back now. I looked into the streets that surrounded me for the first time, feeling a sense of unease overtake my fear. The streets were lined with brick made houses and buildings, cobbled paths and friendly chatter. It was just like where I came from. I smiled, seeing monsters waved at us as we passed by. Sure, we got an odd look every now and then but as soon as others saw the skeleton brothers their glances averted. It would seem that the two monsters had quite the reputation around these parts, some even seemed to fear them. It felt like being royal, like nobody could touch me.
