Sans nudged the child once more in an attempt to shake them of their shyness. It wasn't working. The child just hid further behind the smiling skeleton, almost like they were whimpering slightly. Had this child lived all their life with these two monsters? If so it would explain their shy deposition. They may have never seen a human before and if so they were of course going to be a little apprehensive. I waved gently, smiling as I did. I wanted the child to know I was of no threat to them. So much for the tough and scary mafia. If they were as violent and viscous as everyone thought then this child should have no fear at all. I continued my actions, watching closely as the little one made their way slowly into my field of vision, eventually coming closer to me and holding my hand gently.

" There we go kiddo, enough of the bonely act. I know ya always wanted a playmate " Playmate? Take it that I was trapped here now, well not trapped exactly. I was grateful for all the two skeletons had done for me and I was happy to stay here. By the look of Lil' Pup they seemed to treat their guests fairly and as long as I had food, clean clothes and a bed I was happy. Beats sleeping on the cold and damp floors of New York. Almost like he was sensing my happiness at the not so direct and limited living option, Papyrus bounded up from his seat and grabbed my hand tightly. The grip was fierce, almost like he didn't know his own strength. I could feel m own bones begin to crack, winching slightly. I could now see why such a gentle giant was part of this mafia. Without warning the phone began to ring, Sans picking it up and placing it to the place where his ears would have been if he had been human.

" Yeah...sure....and that's when? Ok " I watched as the skeleton  scribbled some notes on the back of what seemed like an old receipt, muttering to himself quietly as he did. He seemed like a completly different person now, like his attitude as quickly shifted when the phone rang. I tried to keep myself firmly placed on the ground, fighting Papyrus as he tried to drag me away from the room, something about new clothes. As much as I needed them I was fasinated by Sans' actions, watching as he put the phone down and going over to the coat rack. He put a small hat onto his head and a black suit jacket. Smoke filled the room once more as another cigar was lit up.

" Goin' out bro. Take care of our new friend will ya? " Papyrus nodded, watching his brother leave silently. My heart beat became quicker then ever before. What business could the monster have? The thoughts occupied my mind, feeling Papyrus pull me away finally. I was too occupied to even notice though.
