I stand slowly to my feet, slightly dazed from what I had just witnessed. My body stumbled, loosing my balance like a newborn chick. My mind felt scrambled and shaken and my sight was blurred and hazy like a thick fog. I clasped my head as it banged relentlessly from my experience, Sans' bony arms keeping my upright and standing straight. Concern spread across his features, sighing softly.

" What were ya doin' back here Laura? " I shook my head, taking small steps forward as to not stumble over myself.

" I'm not sure. I felt an unbreakable force that pulled me here " We stopped, Sans looking into my eyes with an horrific expression. I didn't like the look of fear in his eyes, knowing that it must have taken a lot to shake someone who worked for the mafia, a place filled with blood and smoke. A place were you stood on piled up bodies and pawns as you saw fit. What could have rattled him so?

" Kid, didya see.." The skeleton was interrupted by his taller brother, exiting the dim street lights and into the darkness of the alley. I physically felt Sans jar up as he heard his brother come up from behind, his grip tightening on my arms in impatience. I could feel Sans shiver, my heart filling with a deep empathy. Anxiety and fear, emotions I knew all too well from my time on the streets and all too easy to identify. The shivering, the tight grip, the impatience and inability to sit around and do nothing. All were signs of something deeper and more sinister and I could feel my heart and soul well up with emotion, sympathising with the monster on every level possible. I smiled softly, silently hushing Sans as to warm him how close his brother was. I felt his hold loosen, finally letting me go.

" What's wrong Big Pup? " I walked passed Sans slowly, feigning a smile as I approached Papyrus and the only other human in this world of monsters.

" I was just a little dazed is all. Nothing to worry about " A lie of course but what else could I say? I knew that Sans was hiding something, a secret Papyrus didn't know. It wasn't my right to say what it was so I faked my happiness and hid away all my concern, even as I felt ominous sadness emerge from behind me. I would have to get Sans alone, wanting to know what he had to say. He had some explaining to do.
