" So kiddo. What's ya story? "
I took a deep breathe, not wanting to recollect what had happened to me. My mind was in a tizz, information swirling around my brain like a deep pool of water. I sighed heavily, watching as the skeleton smiled at me as he crossed his arms. Where was Papyrus, he seemed to have been gone forever. Did he know that his brother wanted to have a chat with me? It was very unclear at the time. I met the skeleton's gaze once more, knowing I couldn't avoid this conversation.
" My name is Laura, as you know,. I was evicted from my home during the countries economic struggle and have been buskin' on the streets " Sans nodded, standing from the chair and moving across the room, seemingly looking at the pictures of his brother on the wall.
" Got any family? " I answered honestly, telling him no. My family was in another country entirely, England in fact. Without any money I couldn't reach them so I was stranded in the cold and dark streets of New York. It brought tears to my eyes to be reminded of my suffering, the thoughts pulling on my heart strings and causing the tears in my eyes to finally overflow like a full cup of water. It was like Sans could sense the sadness in my heart, turning to face me and coming over to me. He knelt in front of me, his bony knees hitting the wooden floor with a thump.
" Fear not kiddo. Ya can stay 'ere. As long as you work for us that is " I nodded, knowing it may not be the most comfortable life but it was better then nothing right? I didn't care argue. Knowing he had me in his grasp , the skeleton chuckles and makes his way to a nearby oak wood cabinet. A low creak followed as he opened a drawer and reached inside. My heart began to race. What did he have in there? A weapon, work papers? I wasn't able to figure it out, my mind kept wondering what it could be, Papyrus finally re entering and sitting beside me. His smile was as soft as always as he gently picked up a book from the coffee table. It seemed to be one directed at children, very out of character for someone in his profession. Sans eventually turned, holding something wrapped in a cloth up to me. I hesitantly took it, feeling how cold the contents were. What was this?
