There was a rustling behind us, perhaps an animal that was stranded or lost? I turned slowly, seeing nothing behind me. Only blinding darkness and rubbish that was piled high onto a mountain. It was strange to say the least, looking to Sans for some answers and seeing the fear that lay in his eyes. A primal instinct took me over, the urge to flee being too much for me to hold back no matter how much I tried. I grabbed the skeleton's hand, trying to pull him away and forgetting for a brief moment what sort of world I was now in.

" Sans we have to go " He didn't budge an inch.

" Sans! " The monster pulled his hand away from mine, clicking his fingers with his now free hand. There was a low buzzing sound, it surrounded us and the alley brightened up a bright shade of blue. I kept a firm eye on every corner, watching for any activity and trying to ignore the unpleasantness that I felt deep inside me. It was rising fast like a river, knowing that it would soon overtake me. Sans was the complete opposite though. He stood his ground, a smirk on his face and a blue flame in his eye. He chuckled softly, calling out into the darkness for a response.

" Hey, it's not nice to hide. Why don'tcha come out and we can talk this over " There was an unfamiliar tone in the skeleton's voice, mocking. It wasn't mocking like he was joking, this mocking was sincere and directed. He meant to aggravate and cause harm to our follower. I couldn't take it anymore, beginning to back up and out of the alley. I feel myself bang into something hard behind me. I narrowed my brow, sure that the path had once been clear and an easy escape. I turn to face behind me, feeling myself sub-come to the horror that threatened to overtake me. Despite everything I had seen the past day or so this, this shook my very soul. I stared back into the sockets of two floating animal skulls with bright blue eyes like Sans. They growled softly, blocking my path to the street. I hear soft footsteps, causing me to turn around to see who was lurking around. A black mist began to make its way over to us, almost like we would soon be swallowed whole by it. Sans grabbed my hand, a look of determination in him.

" Close ya eyes kiddo. Things are about to get a tad rough " I did so, feeling as my body was swung around, sounds of flying objects and lasers filling the air. It made no sense to me. Why fight mist? It wasn't living. Perhaps this was something to do with the person San spoke of. None the less I could feel my stomach turn the more I moved, longing to open my eyes. Gun fire told me to keep them shut. I did so until a sudden iron smell filled the air. I had to open my eyes now, I had no choice. Opening them was a big mistake.
