The dress felt as good against my skin as expected, soft and gentle. The Old Boss sure did have good taste. I smiled gently, sliding the dress over my slender, almost bony, shoulders. It just felt good to wear clean clothes. It didn't matter what they were made of as long as they were clean. I sigh contently, looking over to the dresser that lay next to the immaculate bed. Upon the dresser laid a bowl made from a hollowed out shell. I had never seen such a thing before in my life, even when I was living at home. Was this something that only well off people could afford? I ran my hands over the smooth grooves of the pink tinted shell, noticing that it was full of water. The water felt warm and next to the bowl lay a small towel. I picked it up in my dirty and rough hands, loving the feel of the towel on my cracked and abused skin. It was obvious that someone, probably Papyrus, had left this water for me to clean myself up. I smiled, running the soapy water over my hands and face. I had forgotten what it had felt like to live normally. Clean and fed. You take it all for granted until it is taken away in a flash. My heart began to well up, sending tears flowing down my face at a steady rate and merging with the bowl of soapy water that lay in front of me. Could it be that all this was just a dream? Had I indeed died and was now living in my version of heaven? Thoughts ran through my mind, knocking my senses aside and all sense of other feelings other then sadness vanished. I crumbled into a heap on the floor, my soft sobs soon becoming wails of emotional agony as I held the dress tightly in my hands for comfort. I stayed like this for what seemed like hours, contemplating everything that had happened to me so far while in the company of the two skeletons, convincing myself that it was just a dream. Suddenly I felt a small hand touch my shoulder, having heard my desperate cries. Lil' Pup smiled at me softly, patting my shoulder gently as I laid in a ball on the floor.
" Cheer up, kay? " I nodded, standing to my feet slowly. If anyone knew what life would bring it would be Lil' Pup, obviously having lived with the two monsters for some time. I took their hand, making my way into the living room, the strong smell of iron filling the air as we descended the stairs. The smell sickened me, turning my stomach. What was going on down there?
