I followed Sans, finally re entering the living room, Papyrus sat on the sofa, trying to scrub the blood off of his brother's black coat. I chuckled, watching as the tall skeleton became more distressed as time went on. His features contorted in distress, throwing the coat onto the floor in defeat.
" Honestly Sans! Why can't you keep y'self clean on the job?! " The short skeleton just smiled softly, chuckling as he made his way over to the mantle and taking what I presumed to be a takeaway pamphlet from the marble surface. He turned to his brother, a tell tale smirk on his face.
" Sans...no "
" I tried hard Paps..."
" Sans...."
" but it was all in vain " I watched as Papyrus' face quickly twisted into anger, storming out of the room as he mumbled something quietly under his breath. I turned to Sans, seeing him lazily retract into the sofa and covering it in blood as he did. He didn't seem to care about annoying his brother, finding amusement in it. . I smiled, able to relate. I used to do the same to my younger siblings when we lived together, not really knowing why I did such things. Guess it was just fun at the time. I slowly made my way over to where Sans sat, watching as he patted to sofa in an attempt to get me to sit. I did so, my heart beginning to relax and getting used to what was going on. It had taken long enough. When I first got here I thought it was all a dream, not really questioning it. I could have died for all I knew and it wouldn't have surprised me if I had. I now knew that those feelings were nothing more then false. Everything now pointed to how real the situation was. The smell of blood that lingered in the air, the feel of the cold air, how hungry and tired I was. It all added up and I felt relieved, knowing that I was finally out of danger. For now anyway.
" Kiddo. Hey! Wake up kid " My body jumped, having not expected the loud noise that penetrated my thoughts. I was finally able to pay attention once more, noting that I had been looking into the wooden cracks of the floor, something I often did when I concentrated hard on an object or thought. I smiled to Sans, reassuring him that I was feeling well. I could see the concern in his sockets, like he had been through something like this once before. Something inside me became concerned, watching as sweat fell from the skeleton's brow. Maybe it was time I asked him some questions. Time for a friendly chat.
