Yn's POV

"Dean Masters was a hotshot artist in his 20s. Work dried up, picked up a drug habit. He's suspected of not only being a fence but also forging paintings" Voight said. "What was that thing intelligence had him on" Antonio asked. "Stolen Klimt. Never resurfaced."

"What the hell is a Klimt" Adam asked. "An artist" I reply. "Named Klimt? That's a funny name, right? Or am I alone on this? Klimt. Say it out loud." "It's kinda funny" Jay said. "So this whole 'they're gonna kill me' thing that Masters was going on about was either about the stolen painting or something else" Voight said. "Or he was just tripping and talking nonsense. I mean, did you see his pupils? He was gakked out of his mind" Jay said. "We got a known suspect, took his own life rather than face something heavy-duty. We pursue the case" Voight spoke.

Later that day, Antonio, Jay, Adam, and Voight went out on a lead. And the only thing they came back with was Adam who got a kick to his privates. Since I was his partner, I had to take care of him.

"Here" I say and hand Adam a bag of ice. "Thanks. I think they're swollen. Seriously." "I'll take your word for it" I say. "Uniforms picked up Nadia trying to score over on Roosevelt. They're bringing her in. You all right" Jay asked Adam. "No." "Just checking." "Yeah, I'm glad we're all having fun with this. Yn, Wendy and I wanna have kids. If I'm sterile, I'm gonna have that chick's neck" Adam said. "This is all on you, Adam. You can't let your guard down like that ever" I say and leave the room.

Erin went and tracked down Nadia which gave us a lead on someone. That someone was Noel Harris. When Jay and Voight got to his house though, he was already dead. So now Antonio, Al, Adam, Jay and I were searching Master's house for some sort of evidence to give us a lead.

"We're missing 20 square feet right there" Antonio said and pointed to a wall. Adam and Jay moved a painting which revealed a door. I opened it and stepped inside first. Jay followed me inside. "Bingo" I say and hold up a mold for a 100 dollar bill.

Back at the station, Voight walked up the stairs with a man that I have never seen before. "This is Agent Joe Hill. Secret Service, Chicago field office. We go back a ways" Voight said. "Where's your earpiece and your sunglasses" Adam asked sarcastically. "That's only when Obama's in town" Agent Hill said. "Does this mean we're handing over the case" Erin asked.

"No. Technically I can't get involved unless there's actual counterfeit currency found, but Hank just thought I could help" Joe said. "I thought counterfeiters were using high-end printers nowadays" Antonio asked. "There's digital tech that'll print a pretty good 5 or 10, then you pass it off at Walgreens buying dollar items. That's what we call 'baby laundering.' Using plates, this is old-school. Takes some real work" Joe spoke. "There's three steps. The plates, the paper, and the printer. Guess who we're looking for now" Voight asked.

"The hooker that kicked Ruzek in the nuts. How'd she characterize her interaction with Dean Masters" Jin asked. "Went to his place once" Erin said. "Well, there are 45 text messages between him and her over the last two weeks." Erin frowned and stomped off to talk to Nadia. She came back with more information.

"Okay, pods found a match to the delivery van with the Jesus fish on the back. You know, the symbol's actually called an ichthys" Jin said. We all gave him a weird look. "Fine. You wanna keep calling it a jesus fish, knock yourself out. I also found something else. This van's registered to the Tabernacle of Divinity. It's a storefront church on 63rd and Cal. They use it to deliver meals to the elderly."

"That's Pastor Mike's place. An ex-GD. Supposedly underwent a jailhouse conversion a few years back. Guess it didn't take" Voight said. "All right. I'll show Nadia a lineup of this guy and his associates. If she picks anybody out, I'll get a warrant" Erin said and walked away. Everyone except Al and I went to get Pastor Mike. They came back and interviewed him which gave us more information.

"Pastor Mike was contracted by this man, Glen Ward. Now, Ward has done federal time in Leavenworth for counterfeiting. But how Ward and his printing crew hooked up with Dean Masters and Noel Harris is anybody's guess, and why the two of them are both dead now, who knows" Antonio said. "Pastor Mike didn't say why Ward wanted them dead? He didn't ask. It could be any reason. Somebody wanted a bigger cut, threatened to snitch, banged somebody's girlfriend. Any one of those scenarios" Jay said.

"One of Ward's aliases is Denis Diderot. A counterfeiter and a fan of French literature. Can't wait to meet him" Al said. "Hey, Sarge. Jin just did a name check against new leases on commercial property rentals. He got a hit. Foreclosed chemical building on Cicero" Adam said. "All right, unless anyone's opposed to overtime, let's go find our printer" Voight said.

We got suited up and headed to our destination. Adam, Al, and I were up on the roof top. "It's quiet out front. Looks like Ward's ready to roll" Voight said. "We got eyes in there yet?" "No. Almost there. Stand by" I say into my radio. We stuck the camera through the vents and a picture popped up onto our screen. "All right, we're up. Counterfeit central. There's two. Three, and... four" Al said. "Any artillery" Voight asked. "I can't tell" Adam spoke. "We're going in" Antonio said.

That's when Al, Adam, and I went to the front of the building and waited. Ward ran out and got into a truck. Adam climbed in the vehicle and pointed his gun at Ward. Al and I had our guns aimed outside of the vehicle.

"Gun on the dash. Hands on your head" Adam said. We got Ward back inside with his associates and met back up with the unit. "George 5021 emergency. Shots fired by the police and at the police. Roll an ambo to 1356 South 13th Street. Notify the dicks and crime lab. Plainclothes officers at the scene" Jay said into his radio.

"Yn, get a picture of me for my album cover" Adam said and laid on top of the huge pile of cash we found. I laughed and pulled out my phone. "You're an idiot" I say and take the picture. After that, we headed back to the district.

"How would you feel about getting that drink that you owe me today" I ask Adam and sweep my coat over my shoulders. "I would love too" Adam replied. We both took our separate cars and met up at Molly's.

"So, how'd you get invited into Intelligence" Adam asked. "A few months back, Al pulled me out of patrol duty. I was a stick to the rules kind of person and Al wanted to change that. So here I am" I say. "Well you've definitely changed" Adam said. I smiled. "I'm glad I picked you" I say and take a sip of my beer. "You're a great guy." "The same goes for you" Adam said.
