Yn's POV

When Voight didn't come in to work that morning, I was surprised. He was always on time. And he was never sick. So when Jay and Erin went to his house and looked at evidence that showed signs of abduction they called us over. Al, Adam, and I were looking in the basement.

"What the hell do you think this was" Adam asked and pointed to a hole in the wall. "Popcorn machine. What do you think? No, it was a safe. That's what I think" Al said. "So, if this was a safe, then this is a robbery." "We don't know what this was yet. So screw your head on straight and get to work." "Al... You doing okay, man" Adam asked. "What'd I just say, huh" Al yelled. "Your boss is missing, so get to work, Patrolman." "Al" I say. "There's no need to yell at him." "Maybe I should yell at you then. You're the one that picked him out." And then he was walking back upstairs. "Something's up with Al. He never snaps at me. And I mean ever." We joined the other upstairs who had good news. "We don't got to wait on DNA to find out whose mug that was. We got it right here on video" Kevin said.

"Voight had cameras at the front and back doors. Front door, 7:00 this morning, this girl arrives. 7:30, two unknown offenders enter the back. Now, we can't see if Voight or the girl lets them in. Five minutes later, this girl is seen leaving. One of the male subjects escorts her back inside. Ten minutes after that, they exit the back with the girl. They're carrying Voight out. He appears to be unconscious" Antonio said. "We got to put out an all-call message and get a city-wide search going" Jay said.

"No, because we don't know what Voight was into. We're gonna bring him home safe. We do it ourselves. We keep this in-house. Now, the girl is Olive Morgan. It's a girl Justin dated when he was in town" Al said. "Yeah, I remember her from back in the day. I wouldn't figure her for this" Erin said. "We got to run her through every database we got, see if her phone is active, get her family, credit cards. She could be connected to these two, whoever they are" Antonio said. "Connected? She could have set it up" Jay said. "For what it's worth, Adam doesn't think they're local. So he's trying something else" I say.

"All right, the little guy... Ian Marks. LKA came back Denver" Adam said and put a picture on the board. "I ran his name through the face the nation database. His whole family's nothing but crooks. No match on the partner" Jay said. "The head of this unit's missing four hours already. We need more" Antonio said. "Detective" Nadia said and handed a piece of paper to Antonio. "Cell phone towers? That was fast" Erin said. "I flirted with the girl at U.S. Cellular. Over the phone." "Idiot pinged a local tower. Looks like Marks called his family back in Denver. Can't be that stupid" Antonio said. "You choose Voight as a target, you can't be that smart" Jay said. "Ruzek, triangulate those pings and get us a location. I'll get an arrest warrant. Let's go" Al said.

We headed over to the house that the cell phone pinged from. Everyone except for Adam, Jay, and I went inside. We took the back alley, but couldn't find the suspects. "5021 Lincoln. This is Detective Ln with Intelligence. Please be advised, we're looking for two white males, last seen fleeing on foot from Wentworth and 31st. Hold under the authority of Intelligence. Regarding? A confidential matter" I say into my radio.

Back at the district, we had more information. "Ian Marks has got five known aliases, warrants out for home invasion in Indiana and Michigan. Two days ago he used an alias to rent a van downstate. I put the plates into NVLS, so hopefully we get a hit" Adam said. "I called in a search, but all we can say about our investigation is confidential matter" Erin said. "Still no I.D. on Ian Marks' partner" Antonio asked. "No, I talked with some C.I.s, some guys who run with robbery crews, but no dice, still working on it" Kevin said.

"I got a hit on the van. Dummies drove through a tollbooth. Red-light camera caught it going west just south of 290. We got to go right now" Jay said. "We'll do a grid search" Antonio told Nadia. "They got to be in there someplace." "Where's Olinsky?" "They went to look for Olive's friend Josie." "Atwater, Ruzek, with me. Get me an I.D. on the big guy" Antonio said. After everyone was back at the office, including Voight and Al, we ran the second name through a search database. Then we all went home and came back the next morning with clear heads.

"No priors on Lukasz Gregorie. We can't even prove this guy had a sandwich in Philly, let alone done a double murder" I say. "We got nothing from the van. It was torched to the rims... no prints, nada" Adam said. "Look, this maniac is on someone's list. I mean, somewhere he jumped a turnstile, ran a red light. Someone bailed him out. I mean, I want every phone, every camera we have on everyone he knows. I want leads. One hour" Voight said.

We found Ian Marks, and he told us he'd set up a meeting with Gregorie. So now here we were at the ferry docks disguised at tourists. Jay, Erin, and I were scattered around outside while everyone else was inside. So we didn't know what was happening. But when Gregorie ran outside with 2 black bags and a gun, I knew something was wrong. We all pulled our guns out at pointed them at him. He then grabbed a random woman and put a gun to her head. We got him to drop the gun, and sent him away to prison.

Back at the district, Adam and I were getting ready to go back to his place. "Hey, Ruzek, Yn" Al said and stepped into the locker room. "Listen since you were curious, the reason I was short with you guys earlier is because I just found out that my wife of 20 years has been stepping out on me with a family friend." "I'm sorry to hear that" I say. "You know... I mean, Al, you do live in the garage. I know you live there to be close to your daughter and everything" Adam said. "Listen, I live in the garage because I couldn't give up on my family. "What do you expect her to do? What, is she gonna be frozen in time for a decade" I ask. "You're angry. Be angry. I'd be angry. But... I don't know. You want her back, you should fight for her. Come on, let's go. I'm in the mood for beer. I'm buying" Adam said.
