Matthew POV
I see Tia leaving, and I decide to go after her. I know Lucas said she was grieving and wanted to be left alone, but I can't she needs to know I am here for her and technically he isn't my Alpha at the moment, so I ain't breaking an Alphas orders. I look up and notice Lucas busy with Holly, I smile to myself my perfect opportunity to speak to Tia. I quickly push though the crowd and grab her arm, she turns to look at me her smile is gone once she realises it's me who's grab her arm, she looks more shocked than anything,
'I am sorry babe about your Dad' I reach my arms out to hug her, but she steps back shaking her head, I don't understand what's wrong, she never not want to hug me before and it's been a day since I've seen her, we haven't been apart for this long for ages.
'Tia what's.... MATE' I looking at the door and I see a girl who looks like Lucas' mate Holly. She runs up to me and hugs me.
'I'm Ivy' I stand there confused this girl is pretty but she isn't Tia, why has the moon goddess done this for, I wanted Tia and only Tia.
'Oh wow Ivy my beta is your mate' say Lucas smiling as he cuddles up to Holly. I turn and look at him, I have no idea where he has appeared from.
'Where Tia? She was right in front of me and now she's gone' Lucas pulls me to one side out of Holly and Ivy earshot.
'Matthew leave Tia be, get to know Ivy' I shake my head at Lucas,
'You know I can't do that Lucas'
'Hey it's for the best now you've found your mate, just get to know her, you might change your mind'
'I am stronger than this mate bond Lucas I will get what a want I promise.' Lucas shakes his head at me and walks back to the girls, I see this as my opportunity to go. I rush out of the door and go straight to Tia's room, but it's locked her scent isn't strong here. I punch the wall, I am so pissed the one opportunity I had to speak to Tia in the whole day was wreck cause of a stupid mate issue, poor Tia must think I don't want her no more cause of this girl Ivy, she mustn't think I am that strong, I clench my hands into fists, I'll show them all I can beat this mate bond. I head down the stairs to my flat, and lay on my bed for a bit looking at the ceiling. I know what I have to do now, I mind link Lucas and ask him to send Ivy to my room. I rehearse in my head how I am going to reject her.
'Matthew?' I hear her call as she enters my flat,I get up off my bed and meet her in my living room,
'Um Ivy... look I am sorry but I've got to reject you, I am promised to another' she looks so sad,
'I Matthew reject you Ivy' I feel nothing and next thing I know I am kissing Ivy, imagining it's actually Tia I am kissing.
