Chapter Twenty Seven

'I Lucas take on the role of the pack's Alpha, I promise to protect my pack, and lay my life down for them' I feel the Alpha pull from Lucas, I guess that confirms he is Alpha now. My mind wanders during the ceremony, rude I know but this isn't my pack much longer and I don't need to be here. Matthew keeps trying to catch my eye but I honestly can't face him, I don't see Ivy anywhere but then again she isn't need for the ceremony, she's probably in the crowd somewhere.
'Bow for your new Alpha and Luna' I notice Alex doesn't bow or any of the other Alpha's, even I don't bow that's weird I should of done it was an Alpha order.
'That's because he isn't our Alpha babe and you are forgetting again you aren't in this pack no more, you are slowly having the pack bonds broken, Lucas started to cut your ties with this pack as soon as he became Alpha, in a day or two you won't be able to mindlink these guys' Alex's voice makes me jump, I forgot that a mate can mind link his mate.
'Stop over thinking things, everything will be fine I promise. Now let's get this over with, I can't wait to get you home and make you Luna of our pack' I smile at him unable to disagree or agree.
Finally Lucas dismisses the pack, and everyone starts to leave to go to the grand hall to celebrate the new Alpha and Luna. As I get up to leave, Matthew is in front of me, I can't see Alex anywhere, this isn't good at all, I feel so uncomfortable.
'Tia I need to talk to you, but not here please come with me' I just nod my head and he leads me to the Alpha's house and up the stairs to the beta floor, I really don't feel comfortable with him anymore but I do owe him an explanation. I don't know if this will go down well at all, but need to explain myself, I just hope he can understand.
