Lucas' POV
"Do you think they're officially together?" I ask Riley as we walk into Topanga's, spotting Josh and Maya cuddled up in a booth. Riley shoots me an annoyed look.
"Why do you care? Still into her after all this time?" She asks, furrowing her eyebrows in their direction. She still blames Maya for everything. Almost 10 months later and they haven't spoken to one another. She only forgave me because I told her the whole story. She understood my side, but she doesn't understand how Maya could keep it from her.
"No. I mean, I dont think so." I tell her as we find a table. She looks over at them when I sigh. They look like they're in their own little world.
"... so it's settled. You. Me. Nature.!" We hear Josh exclaim from across the room before he leans down and kisses Maya. Well, that answers my original question. They're together. I sigh and look back at Riley.
"You still got it bad man." She says and laughs at me. I think she's right. I nod, and she looks at me sympathetically for a moment before speaking again. "So, what would you say about you and me crashing their trip? Maybe you can win back your girl?" She says, stunning me.
"How? How would that possibly ever be an option?" I inquire. Shes definitely got my attention.
"You let me worry about that." Riley says simply, taking a sip of her coffee. She briefly looks back at them and smiles. She turns back around and pulls out her phone, sending a quick text before she shoves it back in her pocket.
ME: It's been a while, we should talk. Don't tell Maya.
"Shall we?" Riley asks, motioning to the door. When we get up to leave I look over one last time to see Josh looking at his phone.
