A/N: DOUBLE UPDATE!!  I really love writing this story in advance and then posting. Inspiration hits at the weirdest times. Happy reading xo

Josh's POV

"Josh..." I hear my name, barely a whisper. I turn around and I see Maya. I instantly get up and move to her.

"Maya, I'm so sorry! I never wanted you to see that side of me. I'm not that person baby, I swear to you that is not who I am!" I plead with her. I don't know what else to do except apologize. She moves closer, placing her hand on my shoulder and I instinctively lean in to her touch. She smiles at my reaction and leans in.

"I know exactly who you are Joshua Matthews and I promise you, i wouldn't change a single thing about you." She whispers before capturing my lips with hers. Her lips are soft and careful, like she's unsure. I, however, am completely sure. I envelop her in my arms and pull her close, deepening the kiss. As soon as I taste her, a moan escapes my mouth, bringing a smile to her lips. She then tries to pull away, but I'm not done yet. I move my hand from her waste to the back of her neck and hold her to me. She doesnt resist at all.

"Josh..." she finally says when I pull away for air. My forehead is resting on hers and I smile, and she does too for a minute. Then i see her face change, and shes serious, contemplating.

"Do you trust me?" She asks reluctantly. I dont hesitate at all before I answer.

"Always." I say and her eyes light up while a smile pulls at her lips. I smile back at her before shifting so I can place another soft kiss on her lips. She pulls away too quickly for my liking and she starts walking away from me.

"You and me, we need to talk." She says flatly. When I turn at the sound of her voice, she has her hand outstretched towards a very broken looking Lucas. A part of me wants to tell her no. He doesnt deserve the chance to talk things out with her. But something clicks in my mind as I'm about to step forward. I stop, anchoring myself to the same spot as Lucas reaches up and takes her hand.

Do you trust me?
Her words echoing in my mind.

I do trust her. I trust her more than I've ever trusted anyone in my life. I just hope I can trust him.

I turn my back as soon as they're out of sight, walking over to where the fire is dying down. I settle into a chair, open a beer and replay the events of this evening in my head.
