Lucas' POV

"This is never going to work Riles. You saw them. How much you wanna bet this trip was planned so he could make his big move? Someday is gonna be this week." I tell Riley but she continues to shake her head, disagreeing with every word.

"That's why we dont let them have any time alone. Wherever they go, we go. I'll even convince Maya to sleep in my tent. You'll have to bunk with Josh, but that's the price you pay." Riley tells me. She sounds so sure of herself. I'm not so sure. I'm beginning to wonder if I even feel the same way I used to about Maya.

This drive is taking forever. Riley keeps changing the radio station. She hasnt let a single song play through. Thankfully, if Josh was right, we should be there in another 45 minutes to an hour. I cant wait to get out of this car.

"Finally!" I exclaim as I climb out of the car, stretching my whole body. Riley gets out too, mimicking my movements. She looks over at me and winks. I roll my eyes dramatically, hoping she understands that I don't want to go through with the plan anymore.

I wonder over to where Josh and Maya are standing at the trunk of his SUV. Riley following closely behind me.

"Peaches!" Riley excitedly calls out to Maya. It's been a while since any of us have heard that. Maya greets her by throwing her arms around her and wrapping her in a bear hug.

"Need any help setting up?" I ask Josh. He nods and begins handing me stuff. I carry it all over to the campsite beside our parked cars. I can hear the girls laughing together as I walk back over to get more stuff. It's nice to see them together again.

"Why dont you two go get changed for the beach while we unload Lucas' car?" Josh asks the girls. They agree, grabbing their bags and heading off to the bathrooms we passed on the way in.
