Eunha's pov
🐇🐇🐇
She followed the instructions I gave and helped me get the ingredients ready.
I knew she was already okay. She admitted that she was only faking her headache twenty minutes ago so Sowon unnie would let her rest for a long time. Tsk, this kid.
"Hey SinB-yah, can you help me with this? I can't really cut this ginger properly. The knife's too big." Her body slightly turned to face me but her eyes were still having a staring contest with the rice.
"But I need to look at the rice." She said and made a hand movement. Did she just shoo me away?!
I pouted but continued having the struggles - I don't really want to experience this anymore - just to cut these ginger. But then seconds later, the knife slipped off from my hand because I can't hold it tightly with its size and the blade cut a deep wound on my finger. It happened so fast I could only stare at it with my teary eyes.
"S-SinB-yah.." I called, still staring at the blood that's continuously flowing from the wound. I was panicking. I couldn't even move and wash the blood away with water!
She didn't look at me but replied with a, "Yeah?"
"Blade.." I unknowingly and randomly said but even with that, she was still ignoring me. I couldn't comprehend what I'm feeling. Was I feeling disappointed? Annoyed? Sad? Why was I thinking like this? It's just a wound for pete's sake. It's not that bad- I tried to put a little pressure on my finger and the blood dripped out even more. The moment it did, I heard SinB sniff as if she was looking for something. She quickly turned to me with wide eyes. When she saw what had happened, she took the first ade kit as fast as she can and made me sit on the chair.
There was a comfortable silence as she cleans up the wound when she spoke, "Sorry.." I took a glance at her.
"For what? It's not your fault. My hands were just too small I couldn't hold the knife well." She sighed and finally placed the bandage. I winced a little but still smiled a bit.
"It's my fault. I should've just helped you, knowing that your hand is small, yet I was busy staring at the cooking rice." I smiled and assured her that everything was fine. Although I still feel a little sad and anxious. Why do I feel like she doesn't care about me?
We continued cooking and she started to cut the potatoes too. She took everything that is sharp away from me. It made me feel protected. Okay- what I said earlier about me feeling like she doesn't care about me, that's wrong. Delete it. J-just don't mind it. I'm pretty confused right now too.
Yet while I was taking a glimpse of her serious face. I wonder, does she really love me or not?
I mean, she's been acting sweet to me all day. Protecting me from everything that seemed to give me trouble. Helping me with some things. Taking care of me. Holding my hand. Eating with me.
But something isn't just right. I appreciate her. I'm starting to like her even more because cooking with someone I like is one of the sweetest things for me. But something is missing.
The sincerity in her eyes.
I don't want to assume negative or positive things but.. oh nevermind.
"So, how's it going? Is the moon beautiful?"
I looked at her. I didn't even notice that the water was already boiling with the ingredients on it. She must've taken care of everything while I was busy jumping on the moon. Was she staring at me the whole time?
"I knew you were thinking of something deep. You were bitting your lip so I decided to burst your bubbles because who knows? Your lips might be feeling pain right now if I didn't wake you up from your daydream." She chuckled and turned her attention back to what she was doing.
I took the spoon and had a sip of the soup.
"Does it taste good?" She asked. I looked at her with a forced smile - which she maybe didn't notice - and she started looking at me with hopes in her eyes.I didn't want to ruin her mood but.. "it doesn't even have any taste." I blurted out. She froze on her spot. Maybe she started traveling the moon too.
"SinB?" I called but her lips started to form into a pout. "Yah! It's fine! We can save this! We just have to put more salt-"
"It's no use. I can't even cook. What kind of mate am I?" She walked away and laid on her hospital bed with blankets all over her. I sighed and turned the gas into low heat before walking towards her.
"It's fine. I'll teach you someday. For now, just rest for a while until I'm done cooking. Yeah?" I heard a sniffle until a hand started to raise up in the air. I looked at it, confused why she was doing that. But just earned a thumbs up from her.
Can't she just say yes? Pfft.
Third persons's pov

"Oh wow... you made this?!" The Goblin asked. The excitement can be seen in her sparkling eyes while munching on the food that Eunha made.
"Yah!" Eunbi shouted. "That is MY food! Hey hey wait- Sojung unnie! You're going to eat all of it! Look at Yuna and Umji, they're just eating decently. Now look at you!" Sowon only shrugged her shoulder and took another piece of chicken as she popped another bite-sized octopus in her mouth with it. "Devouring other people's food? I hate you." SinB glared.
Eunha took a spoonful and made it enter the stressed patient's mouth. It actually made her quiet.
"SinB-yah, keep quiet okay? I can cook another one for you. Calm down, please?" Eunbi, who was sulking just nodded and opened her mouth again. Eunha started feeding the patient. Yuna, Umji, and Sowon just ignored the two and paid their attention on the foods that were actually only made for Eunbi.
Everything was supposed to be quiet and peaceful but not until Sowon smelled the wonderful aroma and quickly made Umji unlock the door. Yuna, who was just in time for a visit, also joined the small gathering. Eunha was pretty thankful that she made lots.
All of them just kept eating until they were done. The food somehow calmed Sowon down. She was crying for almost two hours in the waiting area because of SinB. Umji quickly left and continued her job as the Head of their Medical Team, ordering and talking to the other 3 doctors.
If you're asking if Umji is still studying. Well, she is studying medicines and soon turned into a nurse since she was just 16 years old. Until she was promoted as the head of their Team, then she became a doctor. It gave her a headache because students always get into an accident almost every day. But it actually made her happy. Not because she liked having someone come into the clinic because they got hurt, it just shows how intelligent she really is.
"It's already eleven p.m." Sowon mumbled. Yuna was done washing the dishes and SinB was already sleeping after the beautiful dinner she had.
Sowon and Yuna stood up and thanked Eunha for the dinner. After they left, Eunha started to pick the pillows and blankets that were scattered all around the hospital room.
The day was tiring but fun. She smiled as she turned off the lights and laid down on the couch, covering herself with a blanket and closing her eyes with a small smile shown on her lips.
Today was beautiful.
