Third Person's pov

"You are falling deeper into his trap, what are you going to do?"
"I haven't a clue," The younger said and looked down at her feet. "I never longed for power, but now that I have one and that he is back, the blurry future that I was trying so hard to see is now becoming more and more vivid to me."
"But are you sure that that is the future you want to see?"
"No... at least not that I'm sure of it, but now that I have a goal to clear the path towards my destined future, I plan on going along with it, even if it means of me being his apprentice."
Diave stopped her tracks. She turned, hand clasped together and eyes so pure Eunbi couldn't bat her eyelashes from wanting to stare at it for so long.
"It is not destined, it is clear because you are finally out of your shell. But that does not mean it is unchangeable. Only you can break the curse-"
"Why would I break it?"
"Pardon?"
"Why should I break it? That girl is not my mate, I'm not even a vampire in the first place. I am the daughter of a god, that is why me being a vampire under Yunji, being the representative of the academy with a fated lover, doesn't make sense. So why should I help her?"
"Because you-"
"Because I love her?" It has been a long and calm and white-filled walk, Eunbi finally got tired of it. The string of patience she's been holding onto the moment she entered this place has been cut and now she was back to her true self. "Why is everyone clinging on to that image that I have feelings for that woman?! She is not even mine! She'd never been!"
"Denying what you truly feel is denying your present self. You were pulled into this fight when you're not even ready. See how it turned out, you've been manipulated by his illusions, and now you think your past self has come to save you from your confusion but no. It was all an illusion made by his magic, he used your questions to pull you back and make you stay beside him. Your past should've been long forgotten but-"
"Shut it!"
"No, Hames-"
"Shut your damned mouth!"
Just as soon as she finally lost her patience, her eyes turned blue and flames with the same said color came out from her body, emerging so brightly and the color reflecting from the bright light of the Promised Wonderland. The goddess stepped back in shock and with a snap of her fingers, a white magic circle appeared in front of her.
"What-"
"Without light, no darkness will exist. But without darkness, light will remain. An unfortunate and unfair truth, but it is inescapable. Do you know why darkness longs to destroy the light? Because it yearns to prove itself that even without light, it will remain, all filled with pride of victory. Not only that, darkness tries to swallow the bright ones whole because it craves to know the purpose of its existence. Why did it even exist when they say that light is always the right one? To make the world balanced? No,"
Diave stopped for a moment. "It exists because darkness is inescapable. Even we have shadows,
but once we enter your realm, they will be invincible."
It sounded stupid and looked so wrong. It was so fucked up how she knew what she was doing and yet she stayed there. How rotten can her pride be as seconds pass by with her not doing anything? Hwang Eunbi, the daughter of Alm, standing and listening to a goddesses' advice and explanation when all her life she believed she would never need an enemy's words.
