Third person's pov

"Alm,"
Heart pounding so loud that it started to hurt her ears. Although with her shoes on, she felt the cold floor seeping in, making her feet numb. This is Muspheileim and yet the room is cold, something is oddly wrong. She stepped in, walked inside with braveness and determination. Darkness enveloped everything. And if it was even possible, she confirmed to herself that this room was definitely darker than the room she was first locked in with Yuju.
Yuju...
She shook her head. No, she told herself. She shouldn't think about any unnecessary thoughts right now. Alm is here with her, all she needs to do is focus and be strong.
"Alm."
She called once again. Looking around wasn't going to help, this room has zero visibility. Even vampires who have very sharp and clear sight can't see anything in here. If only she had the eyes of an owl, that would help her.
"Eunbi,"
His voice! Goddamnit his voice! Suddenly, Eunbi's eyes dilated with her senses growing stronger. Everything she learned with some of her practices with Jungwoo should be a good help for this kind of situation. Eunbi knew, of course, she does, that those practices aren't enough to defeat him, but maybe it would do something. She thought she could start from scratch. She closed her eyes, focusing on every corner and area of the room. One movement, she'll immediately know where he is.
"Honey," Light started to appear on the other side of the room. Eunbi stepped back and growled a bit, the light blinded her eyes for a second. "Won't you come and give your father a hug?"
Disgusted she is, but Eunbi was pretty sure that showing him she's ready to fight will make everything happen earlier. Whatever he's planning, Eunbi thought that if ever she couldn't stop him, she could at least slow the progress of his plans. The council and students might do something about it too.
"So I'm really your daughter," She mumbled. Alm only laughed at her. "Does that mean that is soon to be my chair?"
He looked down, tapped his fingers on the throne he's sitting at. Then a low and creepy chuckle came out from his mouth. With a devil's grin, he looked up. His sharp set of teeth and piercing gaze. Eunbi held her breath to still her composure.
"What a question," He snickered. "Do you even want it?"
"No, I don't," Was it even a good choice to provoke him? Maybe. With her narcissistic self, - although she would never admit that - Eunbi sure is overestimating herself. But at this moment, weird enough, because for the first time, she wasn't overestimating herself because of the strength and overwhelming power she held. The thought of the academy and her mate getting hurt is more than enough to push her to her limits.
"I'd never even fucking want it."
With a simple sway of her hand, a black shadow moved towards the huge lamp standing on the corner. In a span of just a second, the lamp floated and was thrown on the king's direction.
But when he snapped his fingers, a circle of gold light with ancient letters and numbers sketched on it appeared and as though the time was stopped, the lamp froze on the air and was shattered to pieces.
