Third Person's pov

🌹🌹🌹

Inhale,

Exhale.

"Taeil's trump card has been used..." Jisung mumbled. He gripped his clothes and gasped for air. Seems like the war won't be stopped within a day or two. They needed to finish this but rushing everything would be impossible. Especially when Muspelheim looks like they decided to attack in an all-out force to end them so quickly.

Eunbi might've demanded to take that course. It is so like her to want to destroy the enemy in one blow.

"I'll keep mine until the right time comes." Jisung nodded at his own decision and stood up straightly again. Gasping for air and taking a rest is such a dumb move, but he needed to do it, or else his current mission will turn out as a failure.

After all, it's Eunha who's missing.

"Jungwoo sunbae, I'll use the underground passage. Where did you last saw Eunha noona?"

"In the fifth corridor, past the office hallway."

"Alright, I'll move now."

"Jisung, stay safe."

Jisung stopped for a second and smiled. "Yeah, I will." Then he ran straight to the said location. According to Jungwoo, he gave everything when he was protecting Eunha. He didn't slack nor didn't let Eunha leave his eyesight. It was just the moment a single soldier came and decided to smash his head. It obviously caused Jungwoo to turn around and protect Eunha. Still, when he looked back again to check if she was safe, she was gone.

That soldier obviously didn't want to try to fight Jungwoo. His purpose was to get his attention as someone takes Eunha to who-knows-where.

And that 'who-knows-where' is what Jisung needs to find before anything worse happens.

Back when he was battling with the other Musphanian soldiers, Yoosung - a general who was stationed at another country but was ordered to returned for the war - suddenly came for backup and insisted that he'll take care of Jisung's part. At the same time, Jisung asks for the upper hands' orders. He must've sensed something wrong. After all, his senses are top-tier and so incredible, though still weaker than Yerin's. Everyone has their own battle, and this search is Jisung's.

If he can't find Eunha, he doesn't deserve to be called Hwang Eunbi's only privileged student.

"Noona, any news?"

It took Yerin a while to answer, and when she did, Jisung felt his heart stop. Yerin was out of breath, and she sounded so tired. What could possibly be happening in that division?

"Kid, I'm sorry."

And then she disappeared.

She didn't say anything else. Not even a "Shut up for a while kid, I need to concentrate," which she always says when Jisung calls for her whenever she's practicing.

'Where are you?' He tried to ask at least one more question.

'In my station, but I'll be leaving after a minute. Someone needs my help, and don't even try to follow me because the one I'll be facing is way beyond you.'

Jisung halted. Way beyond him? Is it possible that the one Yerin is pertaining to is the same creature the Dean warned him about? Someone who can... kill him?
