Third Person's pov

"Place the bet,"

"No, I'm tired."

Daybreak groaned and plopped herself on the couch beside her partner. She threw the cards on the ground and leaned her head on his shoulder. She felt weak – just emotionally – and exhausted since forever. Taking care of this world while the father and daughter were gone has taken a toll on her. It's just great to have both of them back. No, actually, don't count Alm in. It's great to have Eunbi back.

"Let's just hope not."

Those words. It was pretty unclear yet, at the same time nerve-wracking. She declared war against her father when they're all in the middle of a vast war. Annoyed and disappointed weren't even some of the emotions she felt when she learned about what Eunbi did. She felt bewildered, yet she found the announcement hilarious.

Quite expected from Eunbi to do such a thing.

But that wasn't the case. Daybreak was puzzled. Because why would Eunbi declare something huge when she couldn't even get ahold of herself? She wasn't even sure about what she was going to do, and she didn't tell Daybreak nor Yuju anything about her plans, and those words.

"Let's just hope not."?

Betting her life when her decisions aren't even definite.

She wasn't confident with anything at all.

Hwang Eunbi only wants to destroy them all out of madness.

"Have you heard the fight between the king and his daughter?" She asked.

Twilight hummed in response before saying his thoughts. "Yes, I have. I came back two days ago after my mission, but when I saw the soldiers scattered around the hall, I had one of them explain the events I missed. It sounds huge, though I'm not confident if that soldier's explanation were accurate. Still, they fought because of his daughter, am I right?"

"Well, it wasn't exactly her fault. I don't know whatever they fought about but what I do know is that the king has done something which caused kkaichou to get riled up."

"Kkaichou?"

"She won't let me call her by her name, so I had to call her using another language."

"I've never heard of that language. Is that somewhere around East?"

"No, it's from Earth. I picked it up when I was on a mission. I think it means president."

"You think?"

Daybreak rolled her eyes. "I didn't have the time to dig up its origin or what it means." She crossed her arms and stood up. Her two chain-like earrings at her left ear were dangling and making noises that kind of annoyed Twilight, but he ignored it and just closed his eyes.

"Twilight, do you think we can still take what is ours back?"

"Like what?"

"Our realm."

"No."

A bland and straightforward answer. Daybreak couldn't help but look at him strangely. "No? How do you say so?" She asked, suddenly uncertain if she was doing the right thing. Eunbi didn't say that the plan should be kept, but it's common courtesy not to tell anyone about it. But it's Twilight, her partner since they were born. Isn't it enough for her to trust him so much?

"Hundreds of centuries have passed, and we've been serving this world since Alm came. Sure, I've thought about that before but look at where we are now Daybreak. Nothing had changed even when the scion came. I do not assume such things that have no grounds and sounds paradoxical as me winning against Alm in a battle."
