Third Person's pov

"Have Daybreak in my room right now."
"Alright," Seon-u quietly retreated but as he opened the door to leave, he abruptly stopped. Eunbi raised her head and watched him closely. "Say, Eun-"
"I cannot recall any moment with me letting you call me by my name." She cut him off in such an emotionless and monotonous way that he went quiet and halted. She stood, placed her hand on her shoulder, and stretched her neck. The sound of cracks temporarily filled the silent room. "You've been wanting to ask me something since I came here, what do you want?"
"Are you really one of us now?"
"Questioning the decision I made... I see, you want to make sure I'm not spying on my father and when you make sure that my intentions are clear, you will ask to have just a drop of my blood." She laughed and clapped her hands. Clever, she thought. Was this the Seon-u she met before at the rooftop? As much as she remembers, he was charismatic and was as cold as ice, he looked like one of those kinds who didn't care about anything else than his loyalty for his king, and yet seeing him right now, reluctantly asking for Eunbi's blood, he looked pathetic. "Get out, I have no need of you standing in my room anymore."
"Eunbi-"
"Are you asking for death to come?" Why was he making her so angry? Is he this thirsty for more power that he's ready to make Eunbi's eyes turn red? Or is he plotting something? Maybe he has a spell to shield Eunbi's attacks.
"That Yunji, that Dean of yours. I faced her alone, and luckily, we didn't battle."
Ah, so that was what this is all about. He needed more power to ensure his victory in case he's going to battle with her.
"Luckily," Eunbi spoke, she wasn't mocking him nor making him feel so low. She just repeated a word from his sentence. "Very well, prove yourself worthy to me. With your power, while carrying the responsibility of being the leader while I was gone, I am expecting more things from you."
Seon-u raised his head, then left after giving her respect and gratitude. Eunbi, now alone in her room, waved her hand in the air. A portal suddenly opened. It wasn't like the other ones though, it wasn't dark like where the soldiers were coming out from before.
It was too bright that Eunbi swayed her hand upward for a shadow to temporarily protect her.
"Yoo-hoo!"
"Come in," She brought her hand down and faced Daybreak. "There's only so little time before our forces and magic source are complete, was I given the right report?"
Daybreak smiled and adjusted her furry coat. "Just a few more sacrifices, then we're ready. Twilight's been leading the troops at South, we heard that people in there are ready to die anyway. We're controlling things the best we can to make it less sinful." She walked beside Eunbi and stared at the bright portal with curious eyes. "Hmm, is that really what you wanted to talk about?"
"You catch up so well."
"The portal's not as bright as before. Do you think they've become weaker than you first met them?"
"Without the help of two other realms and this problematic world, yes, I do." She faced Daybreak and took out a knife. "Seon-u came to ask for my blood, and now he's out there seeking for more problems to solve for me to see his worth, though I don't think that's going to work."
"What's this knife about?"
"Kill him with it when you think he's done his job well."
The answer threw Daybreak's guard. Her hand that was about to accept the knife retrieved and fell behind her. "Kill him? You want me to murder a powerful comrade in the middle of an upcoming war?"
