The academy was in total chaos. The students were desperate for explanations that some of them once barged into the dean's office and some threw the papers from the council's meetings.
No one blamed them though, they couldn't.
It has been at least two weeks since the argument between the academy and Muspelheim occurred. Hundreds of students were injured, but half of them had already healed perfectly while the other half is still, well, locked in a room and frozen still in their bed as per Umji's decisions and the other medical staff's instructions.
Thankfully, like what the dean and the others said, the small battle didn't happen in their world. If it did, huge loss of buildings and many innocent lives would be taken. Though most of Muspelheim's people were also innocent but is just under Seon-u's curse, Yunji thought this was better since they were the enemies after all.
Was their world ever explained? Maybe not.
Normos, a universe in which nine worlds with numerous kinds of gods and different creatures are living. Each world has a main god for each of the three most powerful and needed realms.
The Promised Wonderland, the Judgement of Purging, and the World of Despair.
The Judgement of Purging is the realm who judges as to where a soul shall go depending on what they've done on their land. The Promised Wonderland conquers the souls who have done good deeds and are deserving to have a second chance whilst the World of Despair takes the sinful ones and gives the punishment a million times than what they deserve.
The thing was, Jastebure, where Eunbi once lived and where the academy is built, has only two realms.
The Promised Wonderland and the World of Despair.
The remaining eight worlds owned three realms, which means that Jastebure had a problem that no one - even the god of their two realms - knew. More than billions of centuries had passed, yet the answer remains unknown.
It was chaos. Why? Because without the Judgement of Purging, the souls of the living creatures in Jastebure will completely vanish and can never walk to the other side- may it be the Promised Wonderland or the World of Despair. The innocents and the ones who want to repent weren't given a chance to acknowledge their sins and be happy in the other life. So day by day, the world prayed to the gods for answers and solution, and yet neither of the two realms knew what to do.
Just then, on one particular day, a small spark in the middle of the White Forbidden Forest - located in Jastebure, but its exact location is unknown - suddenly ignited.
The people of their world knew nothing, but the two realms saw what exactly was happening.
A small realm then appeared.
And behind it, stood two men with such overwhelming power. The other was the shadow, and the other was the flame. Both united, the two gods came down on the land and faced them. It was such a shock, seeing two creatures with powers that matched the two gods suddenly appear out of nowhere.
It was unknown with how they suddenly just existed.
But it made the whole world celebrate.
The realms welcomed them, and the people of Jastebure was given the news that a realm has finally appeared by the disciples of the Promised Wonderland's words.
But there was one thing that they also couldn't accept. The realm that suddenly appeared wasn't meant or made to be the Judgement of Purging, it was a realm made with flames.
