Poseidon one of the supreme gods of Olympus. His realm was the sea, ocean, all water bodies and everything that lived in water.
His siblings were Hades; god of the underworld and Zeus; king of the gods.
As god the sea, Poseidon rarely had the time to craft weapons but when he did, they were flawless.
The shield of death was a spiked shield made of peridotite. It was one of the few weapons crafted by the god of the sea.
Its weight was enormous and it's capability to inflict damage was astronomical.
This weapon was bestowed on the demi-god Belus who to his credit had used it to its full potential earning the shield the moniker of "shield of death".
Freya shook in fear as she assessed Belus. He was every bit a monster as she had heard but as commander of the army on the moon, she banished her fears to the deep recesses of her mind.
She took a deep breath and screamed
"For the moon!"
The army of one hundred thousand behind her echoed the words.
She screamed for the second time.
"For the moon".
Again, the army behind her echoed her words.
A third time she screamed with conviction.
"For the moon"
And charged towards the enemy.
Her army of one hundred thousand charged with her against Belus.
Freya's army may have had the advantage of numbers but Belus and his men had the advantage of ruthlessness.
Any of Freya's female solider who went remotely close to Belus died from getting bashed by the shield of death.
Belus soon had Freya and her army reeling.
Waya materialized from thin air and landed on Karmia.
The moment he materialized, he was an immediate target for attack.
It was catastrophic for those who dared to attack him for one by one, they fell by his spear.
Belus spotted Waya from afar, he noticed his fighting prowess and couldn't help but smile.
The demi god leaped over eighty feet covering the distance between himself and Waya in just one jump.
Waya didn't notice the hulking figure leaping towards him until it was almost too late.
By the time Waya noticed Belus, he had only very little time to act or risk getting bashed by the shield of death.
He offered his spear as defense against the shield of death. Both the shield of death and Waya's spear collided.
The brute strength of which Belus weilded the shield of death forced Waya's spear to bend inwards consequently deforming the weapon.
Waya was in shock. It was almost impossible for a weapon forged by Hephaestus to be dented much more so easily destroyed.
He shrink away from Belus, allowing the demi-god to circle him like an animal would circle it's prey.
Waya knew the last thing he needed was direct contact with the shield but in what seemed like a flash, the demi-god covered the distance between both of them and bashed him square in the chest.
The force of the blow hurled Waya six feet away from Belus. Waya tried to move but he couldn't, he knew his rib cage was destroyed.
Belus rushed to finish Waya. With another leap, he covered the distance between and attempted to bash Waya but Waya held the shield.
As a demi-god, Belus was stronger and needless to mention Waya was severely wounded.
Waya was loosing in the fight against keeping the shield of death away from mashing his face.
The shield of death was dangerously close to his face and Belus was gleeful in the potential of grinding Waya's face.
Waya counted to three before delivering a kick to Belus with all his might.
The force of the kick was enough to startle the demi-god, allowing Waya to snatch the shield away from Belus.
With the shield in his hand, Waya found renewed strength to stand. He didn't bothered fighting Belus. All he did was throw the shield.
Belus stood no chance against the shield of death. The weapon of destruction built by Poseidon beheaded Belus, leaving his body to drop to the ground like a sack of sand.
Waya staggered towards the decapitated corpse he looked at it in respect then walked past towards the shield of death.
He picked it from the ground, and inspected it. He had defeated its master, the shield was now his.
With a primal roar, he alerted Karmia he had won.
