Freya moved like the wind, there were no words to describe the creatures the sea vomited but each and every who found its way remotely close to Freya had their heads chopped off.
Athena watched from the bottom of the sea as Freya, the warriors from the moon and the people of Malabour battled Poseidon's creatures.
They seemed to hold their own but Athena knew that the minute the kraken joined the fray it all wouldn't matter.
She was well aware of the kraken's capabilities most noticeably that it was capable of killing her.
She would die someday, all beings even immortals eventually come to an end. Perhaps her end is to die by her people. She would fight and die with them.
Poseidon shot a curious look at Athena when he felt her attempt to teleport from the sea.
She was in his domain, which allowed him to sense her intentions.
"You intend to die with them" he growled, his voice was like the crashing of angry sea waves.
Athena glared at him fearlessly.
"Yes"
The intense annoyance on Poseidon's face was unmistakable.
"These vermin, I will never understand your emotional connection to them". Poseidon thundered
Athena scoffed.
"You will never understand Poseidon, you have no heart"
"If you leave the sea, I cannot protect you, you shall die"
"My mind is made up"
Poseidon was livid.
"So, you'd choose these vermin over me?. Do you still not understand, I love you Athena"
Athena smiled as she took his divinely handsome face in her hands.
"There was a time I loved you Poseidon with every fibre of my being but you are a worthless and heartless bastard who will one day get his due".
Poseidon considered Athena's word for a moment before responding.
"Then it shall be a pleasure watching you die. I shall give you safe passage through the sea, for old times sake"
Wordlessly, Athena with the aid of her powers swam with tremendous speed towards shore.
Atlas watched from the enchanted waters as the people of Malabour battled the creatures of the sea.
His heart sank, it shouldn't be this way gods should look after mortals not destroy them.
It was then he saw it, the kraken. His eyes widened at the sight of the mammoth monster.
If the kraken was allowed to get to the city, it was over.
His mind was made up. Orion had constantly warned him about situations like this but he couldn't watch anymore. He was the prince of the sea and his duty was to protect those who couldn't protect themselves.
Freya was an excellent fighter, the countless bodies of dead creatures littered around her was testament.
Her arm had began to grow weary, another wave of creatures headed straight for her, she took deep breaths as she waited for them to get into range. She was well aware she couldn't fight that many at a time but she'd never back away.
Several dozen spears flew over head her towards the creatures.
Instantly, Freya turned to see the person behind the Spears.
She was shocked to find a battered and tattered Athena.
"goddess..." Freya began but Athena cut her off.
"Those things are going to get here any moment, before then, there are a few things I want to get off my chest.
I know I haven't been the best goddess to you, the moon and to Malabour.
Sometimes I get scared and cower in fear but each time, you've stepped up to protect the people who depend on you.
I hate you for being the one Waya loves I still do but I wanted to say thank-you, for everything.
It is an honor fighting by your side commander Freya".
Freya's smile was as wide as the shores of Malabour.
"To the death, and to us" Freya declared.
"To us" Athena affirmed.
Together both women charged at the incoming creatures.
The kraken was submerged in sea and was slowly but steadily moving towards Malabour when it felt divinity on the surface of the sea.
Atlas was standing on the sea in full armour when the kraken emerged from the sea.
One look at the kraken sent chills down Atlas's spine.
The kraken wasn't designed to comprehend friend or foe all it obeyed was the individual wielding the trident.
Despite being Poseidon's direct descendant all of Atlas's effort to communicate with the beast was futile.
There was only one way to stop the kraken.
Atlas took a deep breath and with his powers made himself one with the sea.
Sensing the pre-hostilities, the giant octopus readied it's tentacles.
With his powers, Atlas extracted am enormous amount of water from the sea and surfed at tremendous speed towards the beast.
The kraken swung it's tentacles at Atlas but the young god was much faster easily maneuvered through the kraken's offenses.
Atlas changed the water to ice and hurled the huge ice at the kraken's face.
The kraken roared in fury but Atlas knew he had no time to waste.
He froze the water around the kraken, trapping it. He conjured ice spears and hurled them at the beast.
He allowed himself to smile, he was wining.
But to his utmost astonishment, the kraken broke through the ice trap was if it were nothing. With a loud roar the kraken crashed all its tentacles against the sea causing a terrible sea storm which flung Atlas several miles away from the kraken.
Before atlas could recover, the kraken coiled it's tentacles around him and began to constrict.
Atlas fought for freedom but his best efforts didn't stop the kraken from pulling him towards its face.
The kraken's face was mean just as it was ugly.
Alas screamed in pain as the beast began to suck the life out of him.
