"For centuries, I have shed my light for the mortals through the moon but I am leaving. There is nothing left for me on the moon".
"You want me to shed my light on the moon in your absence?" Ra growled in annoyance.
"I apologize, I felt since you're benevolent and I have nowhere to ..."
"I'll gladly do it". Ra cut in
Athena couldn't help smiling, her smile was wide and contagious, it even forced Ra to return it.

Zeus travelled through the skies and towards the island which Poseidon was killed in his eagle form, he felt the spirit of his brother call to him ferociously.
The moment his claws hit the ground, he transformed into his old man's form.
He could feel Poseidon's spirit engulf the island. He then felt raw power emanate from the sea.
There was only one artifact which would contain such immense power.
Zeus watched in mild awe as the trident of Poseidon emerged from the sea and hurled itself towards him.
Zeus didn't flinch as the trident halt few inches away from his face.
He reached out and grabbed it, the power of the trident forced him to shut his eyes, when he regained control and opened his eyes, Poseidon was standing before him.
"I warned you" Zeus admonished.
"I know, I failed to see the bigger picture". Poseidon admitted.
"Now your dead and there's nothing that can be done about it. Despite all of your shortcomings ure my brother and I shall miss you".
"Time and death are the only constants they come to us all".
Zeus sighed.
"You're right, death shall come to us all but why did you bring me here".
Poseidon's face hardened.
"The sea cannot be left without an emperor, thrust my trident in the middle of the sea, there I shall choose a successor".~. ~. ~. ~. ~. ~.
Athena walked through the castle grounds, she had ordered her warriors to prepare for an evacuation to earth, she had given each a bag of gold to start any life of their choosing.
She heaved as she pushed open the door to Waya's room.
On Waya's bed sat Freya fiddling with Waya's hair which was attached to her wrist.
Athena walked in gingerly and sat beside Freya.
"How are you feeling" she enquired.
"Empty, just empty".
Athena nodded in understanding. She produced five bags of gold and dropped it at Freya's feet.
"This is for you. You can lead any life of your choosing on earth".
Freya considered the gold for a moment before replying.
"Am not going to earth. Am going to be with Waya".
Athena sighed. She had never known love to have an happy ending.
"I know you know something about Waya's whereabouts in the afterlife; tell me"
Athena heaved.
"Zeus tells me he has been domed to spend the afterlife in isolation for the sin of killing a god-emperor".
"How do I get to him?"
"There is only one being who can grant you access to him; my uncle Hades, the god-emperor of the underworld"
Athena took off the bracelet which clung to her wrist and handed it to Freya.
"Poseidon gave me this on the day of our wedding, it's priceless even to the gods.
It will be enough to strike a bargain with Hades."
"Thank you, really. But first there is something I need to do".
The trident of Poseidon was inserted deep within the seabed.
Hundreds of Poseidon's offsprings lined up before the trident.
The task was simple, whoever could remove the trident from the seabed was emperor of the sea.
Zeus watched with keen eyes as the most powerful of Poseidon's offsprings failed to remove the trident.
Finally Atlas was called upon.
The moment his Palm grasped the trident, the seabed gave way allowing him to effortlessly pull out the Trident.
"For the first time in forever posideon, you make a right decision" Zeus muttered to himself.
The entirety of the sea exploded in chorus.
"LONG LIVE ATLAS, EMPEROR OF THE SEAS".
Zeus made his way over to the new god-emperor.
"You are now a god emperor, you are allowed one wish"
Atlas didn't need to think hard.
"I miss my brother" was the reply.
Zeus gave a knowing smile
"So do I but I cannot bring Orion back to life.
But I shall make him a constellation and place him in the sky, so each time you miss him all you need to do is look to the skies".
Freya found Ziana nursing Waya's baby.
Upon sighting her, Ziana attempted to stand but Freya stooped her.
"Relax, have you given the child a name?"
"Yes, he's Ayaw; that's Waya spelt backwards".
Freya could stop the smile from creeping through her face.
"Take this", she handed Ziana the five bags of gold Athena gave to her.
"Buy yourself and the baby a good life".
Ziana's eyes flew open.
"What about you, how will you fare?" She enquired.
"Am going in search of Waya" Freya replied.
"I want to come with you".
Freya gave a pained smile,
"Where am going, you can't follow".
Tears rolled down Ziana's face.
"Stay strong and take care of yourself and the baby" with those words Freya made her way towards the door.
"Wait" Ziana requested.
"When you find him, please tell him I love him."
"I promise".

Freya locked herself in her room, she retrieved the bracelet Athena had bestowed on her and began to chant Hades anthem.
It wasn't long before she felt the cold hands of death engulf the room. Suddenly, smoke exploded from the middle of the room and from it emerged Hades.
The emperor of the underworld was every bit as satanic as she had imagined.
"Who summons Hades; emperor of the underworld.
Freya gulped saliva multiple times as she presented the bracelet to Hades.
"The bracelet of Helios" Hades growled. "what do you want in exchange for it?"
"I need to see someone"
"Who"
"A deceased god"
"Who"
"Waya "
Hades's long laugh pierced the room.
"That will be most difficult". The god of the underworld admitted.
"You're the god of the underworld, am certain you can find a way".
"The soul of the being in question has been cursed by the gods and placed in isolation.
He is domed to wander the afterlife in loneliness. No living being is allowed access to him.
Do you know what that means?"
Freya nodded.
"To see him I need to die"
"Are you prepared to pay such sacrifice."
Freya scoffed.
"I wouldn't summon you if I weren't"
"Very well" the god-emperor decided.
He conjured an executioner's axe from thin air. Freya shut her eyes in fright.
She wasn't afraid of dying by Hades hands, she was afraid of not finding Waya in the after life.
Hades swung his axe with practiced accuracy, sharp pain shot through Freya's body as her head fell to the ground.
She woke in the middle of a pasture, everywhere she looked was filled with green vegetations, needless to say, the view was beautiful.
It then hit her, she was dead
"Waya" she gasped.
She spent the day running in all directions; searching for Waya.
When all her efforts proved futile, she broke down and cried; perhaps Hades had tricked her.
It was then she saw him from afar.
He was sitting under a tree with a dejected look plastered across his face.
Tentatively, Freya approached him.
When she got close enough to confirm it was truly him, she just paused and stared.
Waya felt eyes scrutinizing him, when he looked around the sight his eyes met shocked him to the bone.
In the afterlife, he had no godly powers, still he covered the distance between himself and Freya in record time.
He pulled her into a suffocating embrace.
"What have you done?" He gasped
"You were supposed to live long and happy".
Freya disregarded his words as she placed her head on his chest. That was all the happy she needed.
Waya kept holding her in his arms as tears fell from his eyes.
"I love you Freya, to the moon and back. No, I love you forever".
Freya smiled as she took his face in her hands.
"We have forever".THE END
