Orion leaped high into the air and came down hard on Athena with his ice blades.
Athena offered her flaming sword in defense but the blunt trauma from Orion's blow caused both Athena's and Orion's blade to break.
Both immortals discarded their blades, it was down to a fist fight.
Athena and Orion circled each other but Orion quickly broke through and marched towards Athena with his fist clenched.
Athena waited for the young god to come into range before throwing a punch.
Orion ducked as Athena's fist passed harmlessly over his head. Orion delivered a blow to the goddess stomach forcing her to  recoil in pain.
Orion smirked as he delivered a powerful kick to the side of her face. Athena fell to the ground in a heap.
Defiantly, she attempted to get to her feet but a blow from Orion to her temple forced her back to the ground.
Orion was confused, from the Intel he gathered, Waya was no coward but apparently it seemed he was content to watch his mother and the rest of the moon get massacred. It was there and then it hit him, Waya wasn't on the moon.
Immediately, he sent a pysic message to his army, for he had no time to waste, his message contained just one word
"Withdraw".
Waya forced his eyes open, he no longer had the same sight mortals did, he could see through objects at will, he was certain he could see through space and time.
He then felt it, the presence of another being, not just any being, a god.
His eyes darted around to find a dirty aged man peacefully snug atop the mammoth dragon.
Waya tried to make it to his feet but to his absolute dismay he fell back to the ground.
"Easy son" the old man admonished.
Waya attempted once more to stand but once again he fell to the ground.
The man glided from the dragon and moved towards Waya, he was garbed in a labourer's robe, the straps of his sandals rose to his knees.
The closer he got to Waya the  hotter the temperature became.
Waya suspected the old man to be the god of fire.
The old man landed few feet away from Waya.
"Becoming a god could be a tremendous experience but just like everything else, there are downsides to it.
Take you for example, your body would  need an hour or perhaps more to adjust to your godlihood. That gives your enemies time to track and kill you and from what I gather, you've got a lot of enemies".
"Who are you?" Waya rasped.
"My name is Hephaestus, god..."
"Of fire and metal " Waya completed for him.
Waya couldn't believe it, the god of fire was standing right in front of him"
Hephaestus gave the young god a knowing smile.
"You are the first being in twenty-five thousand years to solve the puzzle of the dragon.
The dragon only allows access to those who seek the power of the ambrosia to protect the weak and today after twenty-five thousand years you solved the puzzle.
Zeus was required to be here, to welcome you into the ranks of gods but I doubt he will come considering your squabble with his brother Poseidon.
But I had to be here, I had to see the being who defeated the dragon of legend.
Fighting Poseidon will only end badly for both sides but am certain you already know this.
Farewell Waya, the gods won't be with you, for you are a god now".
With those words, Hephaestus burst into flames and vanished.
Poseidon was in his ice throne when Shuruban, the commander of his army walked into this throne room with reverence.
He bowed low to the emperor of the sea he was about to speak when Poseidon cut him off
"He has become a god" Poseidon stated.
"Yes my lord" Shuruban near stammered.
" Do you have his location " the emperor of the sea enquired
"Yes my lord"
"Commune the location to Orion"
Waya suddenly felt refreshed. An hour and half had passed since the disappearance of Hephaestus, he had never felt so good.
Raw power coursing through his veins made him feel invincible. He had to test out his newly acquired powers.
He glanced around for the dragon but the mammoth beast wasn't in sight.
His sight fell on the shield of Belus, he heaved as he prepared to use his powers for the very first time.
He stretched his hand towards the shield and with his mind summoned it. Without hesitation, the shield flew towards him, he reached out and grabbed the shield in utter amazement.
He couldn't believe it, he was a god.
