Orion leaped into the air and performed a triple flip, a move which threw off Waya.
Orion positioned the shield in such a manner that it came down hard on Waya's wrist, forcing him to drop the rib.
Waya recovered quickly, he drove his knuckles into Orion's throat causing the king of the sea to stumble. Waya proceeded to deliver a powerful kick to the shield, sending it flying out of Orion's grip.
Both gods delivered simultaneous blows to each other and as expected, both fell to the ground.
And so the fight between. Waya and Orion ended in a draw.
Atlas watched as the fight tilted towards a draw, desiring to give his brother the advantage, he conjured an ice spear and sent whirled it at Waya.
Waya noticed the spear and attempted to dodge but hr wasn't quick enough for the spear buried itself in his shoulder.
Waya roared as severe pain shot through his body.
With great difficulty, he dislodged the spear from his body. He didn't bleed but the pain stung immensely.
Orion turned to his men and barked.
"Stand down, no one attacks him, he's mine".
That was all the distraction Waya needed.
With his powers, he summoned the shield to himself, the second his fingers grasped the shield, he rocketed towards the moon.
Orion watched with rage as Waya ascended to the moon.
He knew he couldn't repeat an attack on the moon, not only had they lost the element of surprise, there now were two gods on the moon and one was powerful enough to fight him to a stand still.
He had to report the situation to his father and he had to do so immediately.
Athena was in glee as she waited for Waya's arrival at the tower of alignment.
When Waya got close to the moon, the tower of alignment beamed and teleported him into the moon.
The moment Waya materialized in the tower, Athena crushed him in a hug, Waya didn't hesitate in returning the hug but his eyes kept glancing around fir Freya.
After a while, he disentangled himself from her embrace.
"I ran into Poseidon's son" he began, "I fail to recall his name"
"Orion" Athena interjected.
"Yes, Orion. How did you know that?" Waya questioned.
"Well, we equally ran into him"
Waya's eyes widened.
"He attacked the moon?"
Athena's facials turned somber as she nodded slowly
"Three thousand dead"
Waya was aghast, he departed the tower of alignment in haste.
He was worried for Freya's safety, as grand commander it was highly probable she was among the dead.
Freya was in the war hall along side two hundred and twenty thousand women who had managed to escape the skirmish with Orion unharmed.
It was her policy to remain with her warriors after a battle, her presence as grand commander was usually a huge consolation to the warriors after a battle.
She absentmindedly sharpened her blade as the rest of the army chattered about the outcome of the battle.
A sudden hush fell on the army, immediately, Freya's sixth sense called to her.
She gripped her blade and slowly turned to see whatever was going on.
Her heart skipped when she turned to see the reason for the sudden hush.
For standing in front of her in all his glory was prince Waya, now god.
Without fully realizing, she closed the distance between herself and Waya then threw her arms over his neck.
Waya sighed in relief as he pulled her to himself.
"Thank you for coming back to me alive" she rendered.
"No", Waya cut in "thank you for staying alive".
The war hall broke into a thunderous applause.
