"Taking a nightly stroll, are we miss Choi?"

A bell ringed somewhere in your head while hearing that voice, it was familiar. Though it didn't make the situation better.

Turning around as naturally as you could with a 'I'm not guilty' smile plastered over your face, you was met with someone that you definitely wouldn't had suspected to meet down here.

It was that commander guy, Jung Hoseok.

No matter how hard you tried to hide it, surprise was still written all over your face. For some reason you thought that he wouldn't be walking around down here, since this was the place for the normal crew members, not important people like the commander to be in.

"I-I was j-just. Commander I swear, I wasn't d-doing anything s-suspicious." you began. Internally cursing at yourself for stuttering and only making you seem even more guilty.

Once again to your surprise. The orange haired man just smiled with the same pleasantly warm smile as he had done when you first met him. He didn't look the least angry or mad at all, in fact there was no sign of any of those expressions in his face.

"No need of explaining yourself to me miss. In fact, why don't we head up there together if you don't mind? Since I assume that's where you were heading in the first place?" he asked in a friendly tone.

Finding yourself staring into his eyes, you averted your eyes as you felt your cheeks heat up. How could he be so nice, but in the same time see straight through you like that?

"I guess." was the only thing that your mouth managed to say

"Well then." Hoseok said, and gestured for you to walk first up the stairs.

---

Lots of beeping sounds and small colorful lamps was blinking and letting out mechanic sounds everywhere. Except for that, the ship was silent. It was such a different from when you had been walking here earlier, when the whole place had been in motion.

As the two of you had arrived at the place, you stopped in your steps and gawked up at the big window in front of you. Outside veils of clouds was decorating the dark night sky with some shiny stars every here and there, you sighed happily as you admired the view like it was the most beautiful thing that you had ever seen in your life.

Observing you silently from the side, a vague smile appeared on Hoseok's lips.

"You like it?" he eventually asked, breaking the peaceful silence surrounding the two of you.

Tearing your eyes away from the view, you turned to look at him and replied with a cheerful smile.

"It's so beautiful. Even prettier than the view from my bedroom window back at home." embarrassed, you slapped your hand over your mouth from what you just had said. "I'm sorry, that sounded silly."

Letting out a soft chuckle, the man beside you shook his head. Making his hair bounce softly from the movement.

"You know, you remind me a lot of my younger self." he said and gazed out of the window and continued "Having big dreams that no one understands. You see, we share the same dream you and me y/n. Finding the Celestis has always been a dream of mine, but growing up I was always teased about wanting to find something that most people only consider as a myth."

"That's something that I can relate to, people stomping on your dream just because it doesn't fit in the laws of the society." you muttered and glanced down at your hands, which was playing with the hem of your shirt.
