Water battle

Y/N's POV.

Making your way through the overgrown jungle, you and Jungkook followed a narrow path after agreeing to go exploring together for a bit. It was the next day around lunch time to be exact, and you had managed to persuade Jungkook to go with you on a walk. There was still so much of this place that you hadn't even put your foot on yet. The little city that Taehyung had taken you to was truly beautiful, it had been like entering a whole different world once you had stepped inside this incredible place. 

It was a pretty sunny day, the sky was as blue as it could be and birds was chirping everywhere around you. However, the peaceful atmosphere was broken as you and Jungkook walked through. The two of you were having a cheerful conversation, or well, technically it was you who was talking the most while Jungkook was rather listening than speaking. You had been so eager to tell him everything that had happened, you considered him as your best friend, of course he would understand. Right?

"I mean, there's just something about him that makes me so curious to get to know him more. He has like this sort of charisma that just pulls you in, you know what I mean?" you said to Jungkook, who was walking beside you, staring straight forward.

"Mhm." he mumbled, not sounding to enthusiastic about it.

Not noticing his lack of interest, you continued.

"And did you know that there's a secret portal room on this island? Apparently its the 'heart of The Celestis' or something." 

Jungkook had only been half listening until now as he didn't exactly find your endless blabbering about Taehyung very amusing, but as you mentioned something that wasn't about that man, he finally looked at you now seeming a lot more interested than earlier.

"What portal room?" he asked genuinely curious

"It's some weird cave room that is located underneath the palace, you have to go through a glowing portal to find it. There was some big pools that apparently can transport you to the different islands, and then of course there was this holy rock that Taehyung mentioned."

You thought back to what had happened back there, and remembered that Taehyung had asked you not to tell anyone about it. But Jungkook was your friend, it wouldn't be that bad to tell only him right? No one else would know, so it was probably fine. 

"They have it down there to keep it safe I think. He told me that it is what holds this island up, can it be any cooler than that!" 

Bubbling with excitement, you turned to Jungkook with big sparkling eyes as you did a little drum solo on his arm. 

"Yah stop that!" he said and shooed away your hands. "And I don't know about cool. I still don't really trust the people on here, I mean what if they are planning to sacrifice us to their god or something? Or worse, they may be cannibals." Jungkook said half jokingly and fluttered his fingers at you, as he let out a "oooohhh" sound that was supposedly meant to be an impression of a ghost.

Making a silly face at him, you just pushed his shoulder playfully and shook your head at his comment.

"Yeah right."

Jungkook's POV.

The sound of water reached your ears some minutes later, and a little bit ahead of you, the big waterfall appeared behind the big trees. As you got closer, you noticed a smaller river below the waterfall. The trees grew like a circle around it, making it look very welcoming in some way.
