Jungkook's POV.

Pain. That was exactly what his head was feeling right know, like someone had dropped a big rock on it. A headache would have been a understatement, who knew that not getting sleep for several days in a row could cause something like this.

Jungkook slowly sat up, rubbing his droopy tired eyes. He had gotten back really late last night, because of that Hoseok had been calling everyone to a meeting about their plan. On the bright side though, things was going according to the plan. After he had accepted Hoseok's deal, he had been assigned a mission. To keep an eye on y/n and Taehyung, or to be more direct, using them to find out where that special rock thing was. And that was exactly what had happened back then for about three days ago. To his surprise, the mission had been a lot easier than he had first expected it to be. As the only struggle had been to being forced to watch the two of them walk so happily together, he felt nauseous from just thinking of it. His only hope had been to remember why he agreed to do it in the first place.

For y/n.

Forcing his body to move, he groaned when his muscles literally yelled at him to stop. He couldn't just lay here, he had things to do. And most importantly, avoid y/n as he couldn't meet here yes at the moment. Not after what happened back there and especially not when he had been going behind her back like that, because that was technically what he was doing by going along with Hoseok's money hungry plan. Right?

Damn it. Why could nothing be simple in this world?

With that thought in his head, he walked out, completely engulfed in his own thoughts.

But it was for a good sake, and by good he meant that he and y/n could go back to what you used to be...and perhaps more?

Right when he walked around a corner, he felt someone bump straight into him, making him realise that he hadn't been focusing on what was happening around him.

"Oh sorry- Jungkook!"

Well fantastic.

Cursing himself inside of his head for not being more observant, Jungkook looked back at the face of the person that he had been wanting to avoid so badly.

"Y/n... hey." he answered her, probably looking rather taken back by the sudden meeting.

Shit, just act causal, you can do this!

Forcing a soft smile, he felt how his mind was running amok.

"You got a moment?" she asked hesitantly.

Giving a nod in return, Jungkook put his hands in his pockets and waited for her to continue.

"About what happened. I just felt like I needed to talk to you, because I haven't been able to get it out of my head."

Oh you mean in between the moments of your makeout sessions with Mr. Jungle freak?

Y/n bit her bottom lip like she was trying to find the right words to say, but eventually she continued while looking straight into his eyes, which for the latter made his legs feel weak.

"I never intended to hurt you, please know that. And I understand if you probably hate me right now, I mean come on I would hate me too, but I care about you and want you to be happy."

Her words was genuine, he could tell. The way she spoke to him with such a gentle voice, not just making something up.

She did care.

Oh why was his heart fluttering right now, he should be mad. She was the woman he loved and adored, the same woman who had chosen someone else over him. He should be heart broken, and he was in fact, but he couldn't show her that. If he made a scene again, it would just scare her away. And then the plan would be for nothing.
