Hey. First of all I will spare you all the apologies of not updating for like half a year, but to sum it up let's just say that author block hit me like rock. However you don't even know how much I have missed writing on here, like seriously. I missed you guys, hope you all are doing well. Also, hello to all you knew readers that have been popping up lately. Don't think that I haven't noticed you, I'm truly thankful for all of your comments;) I'll be updating whenever I have the time, the uni life is definitely not a dreamlike situation so bare with me:) Now please enjoy this very "all over the place" chapter, been rewriting it so many times that I lost count haha.

Y/n POV. 

"I still can't believe what happened back there. Seeing Jungkook like that...it looked like something had broken inside of him. And I can't stop blaming myself for it." you said while staring out at the endlessly blue sky, tears still rolling down your cheeks.

Sitting with your hands resting in your lap and your legs dangling over the edge, you and Taehyung were sitting together at the very edge of the island. If you looked down, you could see a fluffy duvet of white clouds covering everything below your feet. It was a risky choice of place to have a chat at, but it sure gave you a spectacular view over the whole area. If you looked even closer, you could get a glimpse of the nearby islands behind the clouds. 

Taehyung who had been wearing an unreadable expression while staring at the view in front of him, now turned his head towards you. His eyes reflecting concern as they observed you for some seconds, before he reached out to put his hand over yours. 

"Y/n listen, you can't control who your heart chooses, just like you can't force yourself to love someone even if it is for a good sake."

Despite you being an emotional wreck, you still couldn't stop yourself from raising your eyebrows. Where did these wise words suddenly come from?

"That was very nicely put. Since when did you become such a sentimental genius?" you joked as a small smile appeared on your lips.

Seeing you smile, caused his mouth corners to slightly pull upwards. 

"I tend to read people pretty well, the rest just comes naturally I guess." he said "And I would say that I know one or two things about that subject myself." 

You gave him a curious look from that comment. He hadn't told you much about his life before you met, you only knew a few things, but despite that his private life was pretty unknown. Though perhaps you couldn't blame him too much, since it hadn't been that long since you got here, a little bit more than a week to be exact. So maybe it wasn't that weird. 

Like he had read your mind, Taehyung chuckled softly as he pinched your nose playfully. 

"I'm talking about you, silly." he grinned

Something suddenly got stuck in your throat, because you nearly chocked. 

Or maybe it was because of what you just had heard.

"Are you saying...?"

"That I love you, yes." Taehyung said softly, his brown eyes focusing on you as a small smile was playing on his lips "I thought I made that pretty clear last night."

Last night...oh my goodness he was right!

"Are you the special star that I've been searching for for all this time?"

"Your diamond in the rough."

Those following words began ringing in your head, reminding you of the two of yous intimate moment that had occurred not long ago.
