That afternoon Sal was super supportive of me, but I knew he didn't want me to go. I really did want to go, but the thought of only being able to write to Sal was hard. And if the course was 5 years, I had to think about moving to London, and buy a house. But I had to tell Kendall first.

I sent him a text asking him to come over and he came over straight away. I made him a cup of tea ready.
"Hey Rach" he said as he grabbed the mug off me.
"Hi Kendall" I began. "I actually have something to tell you..." I said with nerves rushing through me.
"What's wrong?" Kendall asked as he took a sip of tea.
"I'm moving to London". And immediately he spat it out in shock.
"YOUR WHAT?!" He shouted.
"Look, I have an opportunity to become an author" I began to explain.
"In London?! Why not here!" Kendall whined.
"Look... I'm sorry. But for once I need to do this for me. Mum and Dad wanted me to be a director and that was their dream, you wanted to come to New York and that was your dream... I want to go to London and become an author.. that's my dream" I explained. Kendall nodded in an understanding manor. "Do you forgive me?" I asked.
"Rachel, there's nothing to forgive you for. You've done nothing wrong. You should be able to follow your dreams" Kendall sympathised.
"Thank you" I said as I gave him a hug.
"I'm sure I can cope without you for a year" Kendall laughed.
"Actually... it's five years" I revealed.
"WHAT!!" He shouted. But he looked into my eyes and saw how bad I felt and calmed himself down. "I'll be there for you every step of the way sis" he reassured me. "I suppose if your going for five years, you'll need a house" Kendall said.

With that, we went online to look for houses for sale. One soon caught my eye. The description read: this traditional cottage is the best Surrey has to offer. In the summer, unwind with the sun beating down on you in your cottage. In the winter, enjoy an evening with a good book and hot cocoa as you live in your small, but cozy, cottage. Just an hour away from central London.
"That sounds... perfect" I said.
