The next morning I woke up to the smell of pancakes cooking. I turned over to my side and saw Sal peacefully asleep beside me. I smiled to myself and slowly shut my eyes. That was until Q swing the door open.
"Morning Sal... and Rachel" Q shouted.
Sal slowly sat up and rubbed his head.
"Morning" he sleepily said to Q, then looked down to me beside him. Sal moved a strand of hair from my face and smiled to himself.
"What is she doing here? And what are you doing on the floor?" Q whisper yelled to Sal, presuming I was asleep.
"We kinda just fell asleep here" Sal laughed.
"Anyway breakfast is ready" Q announced as he trailed off downstairs.
"Rachel" Sal sung softly into my ear. I turned over and smiled.
"Morning" I replied.
"Good morning. Breakfast is ready" Sal informed me.
"Then let's go" I replied with a smile.
Me and Sal ran downstairs to the kitchen to be greeted by Q wearing an apron and flipping pancakes. Me and Sal grabbed our plates as Q gave us a pancake each.
"Here, follow me" Sal said as he gestured me to follow.
He led us out to a little white round table overlooking the beach.
"What are we doing out here?" I asked with a giggle.
"Just some time alone.. just us" Sal answered, as he slowly reached over the table to hold my hand. His hand briefly touched mine until Joe and Bessy came outside. Sal quickly let go, but something tells me they saw because they were acting awkward around us.
"Hey guys" Joe said.
"Hi" me and Sal said in unison, causing us to smile at each other.
