When I Found You...

Chapter 8

I decided to explore the beach for the afternoon, but as I saw the sun setting I decided to head back to the beach house. I heard the music blasting and everyone dancing, so I sneaked upstairs into my room and packed up my stuff.
As soon as I finished I rung Kendall back.
"Hey, could you pick me up in an hour?" I asked.
"Sure" Kendall replied.

I quickly ran outside and mixed myself into the large group of people to make it seem as if I was always there. I saw Sal stood with Q and Joe talking, so I slowly walked past them.
"Rachel!" Sal said as he grabbed my hand to softly turn me around.
"Oh hey Sal" I said with a warm smile.
"H-how are you?" Sal nervously asked me.
"I'm good, what about you?" I asked.
"I'm fine" he said. There was a brief moment of silence between us.
"How about we get a drink in the kitchen?" Sal suggested. I nodded and eagerly folllwed him.

I poured myself and Sal an orange juice, as we sat on the stools next to each other. The silence filled the room.
"Why don't we ask each other questions?" I suggested.
"Questions about what?" Sal asked.
"Anything!" I said with a smile.
"Okay then.... do you fall in love easily?" Sal asked. I smiled at the thoughtful question.
"Kinda...yes" I honestly answered. "Do you?" I asked.
"Recently yes" Sal admitted. His green eyes stared deeply into my ocean blue eyes. "I have a another question!" Sal said to swiftly change the subject.
"Shoot".
"If you could wake up tomorrow and have anything in the world, what would it be?" Sal asked.
"I'd have~" I begun until I heard a car 'beep' outside. I looked out the window to see Kendall in the car waiting for me.
"I gotta go" I said as I quickly got up and grabbed my things. I headed outside and placed my bags in the car.
"Rachel!" Sal called. I turned around. Seeing Sal made it harder for me to leave. He grabbed hold of my two hands as we stood face to face. "What was it?" Sal asked me.
"What was what?" I asked.
"Of you could wake up tomorrow and have anything... what would it be?" Sal asked.
I felt the tears build up in my eye.
"If I could wake up tomorrow and have anything, I'd have..." I begun. Sal gripped hold of my hands even tighter. "I'd have you" I answered. Sal's smile grew wider. He placed his hands on my neck and pulled me in for a kiss. I turned around to see Kendall feeling slightly awkward.
"I have to go" I said as I ran into the car. Kendall begun to drive off as my tears spilled.
"Rachel!" I heard Sal's faded voice shout.
