When I Found You...

Chapter 7

I ran down the beach, nearing the sea. I sat in front, gently brushing the grains of sand beside me. I pulled out my phone from my pockets and decided to ring my brother. Me and Kendall were super close, and I could trust him with anything.
"Hey Kendall?" I begun.
"Hey Rach. Are you okay?" Sensing the upset in my voice.
"It's just... I met this guy, Sal" I started.
"Sal Vulcano?" Kendall asked. I totally forgot he was obsessed with the show.
"Yeah, and I thought he liked me.." I begun.
"Can I be his best man at the wedding?" Kendall asked. "Will you bring him over for me to meet him?!" Kendall excitedly asked.
"Sometimes I forget that your five years older" I laughed. I saw somebody sit next to me, and I saw it was Joe.
"I gotta go, talk soon" I said as I hung up.
"Hi Rachel, is this a bad time?" Joe asked.
"No of course not" I replied. "Is there something I could help you with?" I asked Joe.
"I just wanted to see if you were okay. Sal is pretty upset" Joe told me.
"Why?" I asked.
"He said that you said no to him because of Kelly" Joe said.
"Well I don't want to be used to make her jealous" I said.
"Jealous? Kelly? Where did you get that idea?" Joe asked.
"Murr told me" I said. Joe rolled his eyes in realisation.
"Don't listen to him. He is trying to get back at Sal. Him and Kelly are nothing other than friends. And I'm pretty sure her and John are dating" joe said, as he placed his hand on my shoulder. "Join us tonight. We are having a party on the beach" Joe told me.
"I don't think I'll be here tonight. I'm gonna head home" I said.
"What? Why?" Joe asked me.
"It's just.... Im clearly not fitting in here. And I don't think me and Sal are friends at the moment" I said as I lowered my head.
"That will sort itself out I promise. Why don't you just think about staying" Joe suggested. I nodded my head and sighed to myself as he got up to leave.
