"I don't want you to die either..." she finally gives in and breaks down just like Peter, and so they cry into each other's shoulders.

"It has been way too quiet for way too long." Tony notes and the others agree. Just a few moments after he says that, Shuri walks to the lounge.

"Tony? Can I please talk to you for a moment?" She asks in a monotone.

"Why, whats wrong?"

"It's Peter." Tony quickly nods, following her back to Peters lab.

"She looked and sounded like honest crap, something must've happened" this just so happens to be the first time everybody agrees with Clint.

"Shuri, what happened to Peter?" Tony questions as they walk towards the lab.

"I'll explain when we get there." Tony just sighs but agrees. When they enter the lab he sees Peter tinkering with something, and it's definitely not his web-shooters. "How are you doing?" Peter looks over and gives a small smile when he sees Tony.

"Its almost done." Shuri nods and walks to Peter.

"Can either of you now please explain to me as to whats going on and why you both look like absolute shit?" Peter just tells him to wait a little bit.

"Okay, I'm done." he puts the what Tony now notices to be a bracelet onto his wrist, and presses a button on it. A percentage appears in the air in the form of a hologram. "30%..."

"What does it mean?" Tony questions and Peter looks at Shuri in hopes of not having to explain it himself.

"It shows Peters blood toxicity." Tonys brows furrow in confusion. "Neither of us knows what it is that has invaded his body, but it doesn't look to be good. It seems to be turning his blood darker-"

"In other words, I'm dying." Peter cuts in, wanting to get straight to the point.

"Oh no, kid, I don't think its that bad, I mean, maybe its something good?" yeah Tony, it's totally not bad.

"We're both positive that its bad, I mean what good thing makes your blood turn dark?" Peter asks.

"You're right. You took blood samples?" both teenagers nod. "Show them to me." Shuri gives one of the samples to Tony and he examines it. The red of the blood is darker than Peters normal blood, he knows that because he has taken Peters blood samples before. "And why exactly did you take the samples?"

"We were bored. We did a ton of scans and stuff too. Nothing was like this though." Tony nods at Shuri. "When Peter came back, did you take his blood samples?"Tony shakes his head.

"No, we didn't think it was necessary, why?"

"Come with me." Tony and Shuri walk away and go to a different floor just to be sure that Peter can't hear them. "I think that HYDRA might have entered something into Peters body. You didn't take blood samples from him when he returned, who is it to say that they didn't insert something into him because they knew that you guys would save him and that's the only way to get him back!"

"Shuri, you're a genius. I'm going to have Bruce examine this as well, maybe he has something like this in his database, but I won't tell him why ore whose it is, okay?" Shuri nods and they part ways, Tony going to Bruce's lab and Shuri returning to Peter.

"Bruce?" Tony wanders around his lab a bit before eventually finding Bruce, doing some calculations. "Can you please take a look at whats in this blood and do you have it in your database?"

"Yeah sure." Tony hands him the sample, and Bruce walks over to a different part of his lab and analyses the blood. "This... I-I've never seen anything like this. It's turning the person's blood darker, and its also nowhere in my database." Bruce turns around to Tony. "For all I know whatever this is could be potentially killing this person." Tony nods.

"Thanks, that's all I needed to know." Bruce nods and walks back to the calculations he was working on earlier.

Tony walks back into Peters lab, the two teenagers nowhere to be seen. He sighs and then turns to walk to Peters room. knock. knock. "Hey, kids? It's Tony." The door opens and it reveals Peter. "Bruce said he doesn't know what it is and it isn't in the database either." Peter just sighs and then nods understandingly. "Pete, it's going to be okay. We'll find a way to get this out of your blood system."

Peter rests his head on Tony's chest and he wraps his hands around the boy. "What if you won't? What if I'm going to die? If Bruce didn't know what it was then who will?" Peter sniffles, holding back tears.

Tony sighs deeply. "I'll do my best to find a way. I promise." Peter sniffles again, trying hard to keep the tears from falling. "Its okay, go ahead, cry." he rubs soothing motions onto the kids back. "Sometimes you just need to let it all out, and right now is one of those moments." Peter starts to sob into Tony's chest. "I'm here for you. And Shuri is too. She may be leaving soon, but I'm sure that she'll be more than happy to talk to you through video calls." Peter nods into his chest and keeps crying, but softer, as Tony rubs the boys back, in the middle of the hallway.
