Chapter Eighteen

                        Sage's POV

I didn't get anymore sleep, after Remington came over. I just stayed up making sure he was okay.

I ended up falling asleep in most of classes and lunch. But now I'm about to leave to go to a park when me and Remington are gonna meet.

Hopefully he's alone, cause it's gonna be awkward if his girlfriend is there and I'm like 'hey maybe it's best if we don't sneak around behind everyone's back'

It's rainy and cold, I have a hoodie but it's not the one Remington gave me, I still have no idea what happened to that.

I feel every emotion that any human could possibly feel, I'm sad, mad. Are the main ones. But also relived, it's like a huge weight off my shoulders.

I got at the little park and seen Remington sitting on a picnic table that's under a huge tree on his phone.

"Hey..." I said as walked up to him.

"Hey" He said smiling and standing up and pulled me into a hug.

I'm gonna miss this.

"What's do you wanna talk about?" He asked as we pulled away.

I immediately get nervous, choking on my words.

"Um...This is kinda hard to say" I said as I sat on the table.

"You okay Sage? Your not in any kind of trouble? Are you" He asked getting close to me and holding my hand.

I kept my stare on my our hands. Then reality hits and I pull my hand away.

"No, I'm not in trouble" I said as I put my hands in my pockets.

"What is it baby" He asked with a confused and kinda sad expression.

"If the roles were reversed and I was in Jolene's shoes... I wouldn't want my boyfriend messing with another girl..." I said with a few tears fall.

He didn't say anything, he just had a contemplating look on his face.

He's not mad, I know when he's mad and this isn't it.

"Remington?.." I asked looking at him and trying reach for his hand.

"Remi, I'm sorry" I said with my voice cracking trying to hold myself together.

He still didn't say a word to me. I got off the picnic table and walked away.
Tears rolled down my face as I walked away from him, I don't know if hes upset or just doesn't care. But I cared, I cared alot, which is I made this decision.

My heart broke as I walked further away, I wish this never happened. The risk of my parents finding out was to much.

The rain poured harder and my phone was ringing off the hook, I quickly walked, drenched in the rain.
I opened the front door of my house and my mom was on the phone and my was ringing so I guess she's calling me.

"Sage Aliza! You tell me where youve been" my mother yelled.

" I hung out at a park for a little bit" I said trying to ingore everyone and go in my room.

"Next time tell us, I was worried sick" she said as she kissed my forehead. 

"I will mom" I said as I tried to walk away.

"Sweetie you okay?" She asked looking In my eyes.

"Yeah" I said as i pulled away from her stare and I walked up to my room.

Once up to my room, I changed out of wet clothes and threw on some black sweats and long sleeve shirt.

I close my curtains so no one can see into my room then turned off my lights. I laid on my bed curled into Remington's spot on my bed.

It smells just like him, I miss him alot.
As I hugged the pillow he laid on, I had music playing in the background and city lights by Motionless In White came on.

My lights were turned on and the door opened. My face was buried into the pillow so I can't see who's coming in.

"Hey kiddo" Robert said walking in.

"Hi..." I said quietly.

"What's up" He asked sitting on my bed next to me.

"Nothing, I'm just tired" I said trying to hide the fact I feel like I'm dying.

"Sage, are sure your fine?" He asked with a sympathetic look.

"Yeah" I said as I curled back up.

"Alright, See ya kiddo" He said as I felt him leave my room.

I'm not fine.
