Chapter Forty-One

                 Mark's POV
I drove home after a long day at work, it's almost nine o' clock at night. I can't quit thinking about Toni and the fact she's pregnant.

I pulled into the driveway, a few lights in the house are on but not all of them. I turned off the car, grabbed my things and walked inside.

Went inside and seen Toni and Lucy in the kitchen with Sage, Robert and Remington are sitting on the couch.

I took my jacket off and placed it on the coat rack.

"Hey dad" Sage said seeing me from the kitchen.

"Hey sweetie" I said walking to the kitchen.

"Um, Toni can I talk to you for a minute" I asked looking at Toni.

"Yeah sure what's up?" She said closing the freezer after grabbing ice cream.

"Can we talk privately?" I asked, I hope she say yes.

She instantly looked down at the floor "Um, why can't we talk in here?"

"No, Lets go in dining room" I said walking into the dining room and sitting at the table.

After a few short minutes she walked in and sat down at the table.

"So...what did you want to talk to me about?" She asked looking at me.

"About you being...pregnant" I somehow mange to get out.

"Oh..okay" she said looking down at the floor.

"I'm not upset with you, I'm not gonna judge you. I wanna make sure your gonna be okay" I truthfully said to her.

"Thanks Mark" She said smiling at me.

"Now, are you gonna keep the baby?" I asked.

"Yeah, I want too" she said fiddling with her fingers.

"Alright, do you know..who the father is?" I asked in the most sincere way I could muster.

"Yeah, I know and he knows about the baby" She said looking at me.

"How would your parents react?" I asked, if they react badly then I'll let her stay at my house.

"Um I wouldn't know. They passed away when I was six" she said quietly.

"Oh. I'm sorry I didn't know" I said, she never mentioned that before, which I understand but wow.

"Its Okay" She said.

"Who do you live with?" I asked.

"I live with my aunt and uncle" she said as she ran her hand through her hair.

"How would they react then?" I rephrased.

"I...don't think they be mad but to be honest Mark, I don't know" she sighed the sunk into her chair.

"Don't worry we'll get it figured out" I said standing up.

"I know we will" She said standing up as well.

"Is the dad Remington's brother Emerson?" I asked looking down at her.

"No he's not, I haven't even told him yet" She said.

"Okay" I said.

"Are we done here?" She asked.

"Yeah sure" I said.

We walked back into the kitchen. Sage was sitting on the counter with Remington infront of her. Her mom texted me early when I was eating lunch and said she was coming to get Sage tomorrow.

"Oh, Sage" I said walking to the fridge and opening it to grab a beer.

"Yeah" She said looking at me.

"Your mom's coming over to pick you up tomorrow" I said opening my beer and taking a drink. I honestly hate the taste I need one cause stress n' shit.

"Ugh, why dad?" She groaned laying her head on Remington.

"I don't know she didn't say, all I got was I'm coming to get Sage tomorrow at eleven AM" I said repeating the text I got earlier.

"There's no way I can get out of it?" She said looking at me.

"Nope" I said taking another drink and walking into the living room.

Sage's POV

Dad walked away and I died inside, I don't wanna mom, one because still f*cking pissed and two she's gonna want a answer on if I'm moving in with her and I'm not.

"Yo, we gotta get back home" Lucy said grabbing her stuff.

"Alright, bye guys" I said as Lucy and Toni left.

I hugged Remi and kissed his cheek, I could stay in his arms forever.

"You'll Be Fine" He said to me.

"You sure?" I asked looking at him.

"Absolutely sure babygirl" he said flashing a smile, that always make me feel better.

I ran my fingers though his recently dyed blonde hair, I do this all the time and I still don't know how it's so damn soft.

"Why do you always do that?" He said giggling and moving away a little.

"Do what?" I asked playing dumb and trying not to laugh.

"You know what, Sage" He said moving back infront of me and pecking my lips.

"This?" I asked as started playing with his hair.

"Yeah that" he said laughing.

"I dunno, I like doing it" I said smiling.

"You know what I like doing?" He asked me as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

Oh, this could go one of two ways.

"What?" I asked quietly.

"This" he said just before kissing me.

Oh....
Awe!!!!!

We pulled away and I know I'm at least the shade of a damn tomato.

"After all this time, I still make you blush like that?" He asked smiling.

"Yes You do" I said smiling.

" I love you Babygirl" he said holding my hands.

"I love you to Remi" I said back.
