Chapter Forty-Four

Sage's POV
*One month later*

I just got off the phone with my mom, She wanted to make sure I'm coming over, its the weekend and that when she has vists.

My parents divorce is final, has been final for almost a week now. Dad is much happier now and there was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders when everything was finalised.

I packed a small duffle bag for the weekend. I looked at what I was wearing, joggers and A hoodie.

I threw on some shoes, grabbed phone, laptop, chargers and headphones.

"Dad who's taking me to moms?" I asked as I walked downstairs.

"Um Can Remington, Ive got to go to work" Dad asked as he got ready for work.

"No Remi is doing something with his band today" I said moving some hair from out of my face.

"I think Robert can take you. How is the band doing?" Dad asked with a smile.

"Really good, There getting alot of attention online" I said feeling very proud.

"Thats my boys" Dad said laughing, he's very proud of them, it makes me laugh and happy.

I walked into Robert's Room to see if can drive me.

"Yo yo yo yiggy yo" I said opening the door.

"What the hell did you say?" he asked laughing.

"I don't know, can you take me to moms?" I asked leaning on the door.

"No can do kiddo, One I hate that woman, Two Ive got work to do" He said looking back at me.

"Alright" I said turning on my heel and walking out.

Who in the absolute f*ck is gonna take me.

I grabbed my phone and called Remi.

"Hey babygirl" he said.

"Hey, quick question" I asked sitting on the counter in the kitchen.

"Shoot" he said.

"Do you know if your mom would take me to my moms" I asked seeing as dad already left.

"Sure, just walk over there" He said.

"Alright love you" I said smiling.

"Love you to babygirl" He said.

We hung up and I walked over her house.

I knocked on the door and she answered.

"Hello Sage" She said with a bright smile.

"Hey Stephanie, Can I have a ride to my moms?" I asked politely.

"Sure, let me get my keys" She said smiling.

We started driving to my moms apartment.

"I know about everything that happened to your parents. How are you doing?" She asked as we drove.

"I'm doing good." I said with a small smile.

"That's good, hun If you or your dad need anything let me know I don't care to help" She said smiling.

"Thanks Steph" I said.

We pulled into my moms apartment complex, I thanked Stephanie for the ride and walked up to mom's house.

She gave me a key so I just opened the door and walked inside.

Okay. First thing I see is some dude on the couch and mom in the kitchen.

"Hi Mom" I said walking over to her.

"Hello sweetie" She said smiling and hugging me.

"Who's that?" I asked pointing to the random ass dude.

"Oh come on" she said cheerfully as she walked me into the living room.

"Lucas, Meet my other daughter Sage" Mom said smiling.

This man he's got Blonde hair, he's probably late 50s. His clothes look really nice, like probably has money.

"It's nice to meet you Sage, Im Lucas" He said standing up and held his hand out.

I shook his hand "Nice to meet you to"

"How long have you known each other" I asked mom.

"Two months today" Mom said smiling and laying her head on his chest.

"Oh, have the twins met him?" I asked, The twins, I believe are already in collage.

"They met over video chat but not in person yet" She said smiling.

"Alright, Im gonna to my room" I said as I turned and walked into my room.

I can't believe it! How can she do that?
It likes she's throwing away all of those years with dad. I fell onto my bed and curled up with a blanket and started listening to some music.

I heard a knock on my door and Lucas walked inside.

"Can we talk?" He asked standing in my door way. Holy shit just realised he's German.

"Um... I guess" I asked sitting up and pausing my music.

He came and sat down on my bed.

" I know this is alot for you take in. But Sage I really enjoy your mother's company and I care about her alot" He said, That will change once you get to know her.

"I get that, But they just got divorce and it feels like she's just throwing away everything. All the history, all the family memories... I... Don't know" I said leaning back on the wall next to my bed.

"Sage. I want you to know I'm not trying to make anything worse I just care about your mother. I hope me and you can get along" He said with a smile as he stood up.

"Maybe" I said quietly.
