Yawning and stretching my muscles tight from sleeping on the ground. "Morning."
" Rosemary you ready to find Morgana's lair?"
"Are we far?"
"No about an hour's ride."
"We don't have the horses?"
" We do they followed us."

We rode side by side laughing and enjoying each other's company the feeling in my chest heavy with an emotion I wasn't sure I could feel for a servant boy. We came to a small cave hidden deep into the hill side. " Morgana's lair." Merlin whispers his eyes never leaving the entrance.
"let's go my fathers in there I can see him, he's all tide up." Tears rimmed eyes at the thought of losing my father.
"We have to wait for her to leave." He pointed out, he was right although I wasn't about to tell him that.
"That could be hours we haven't got hours, Arthur's probably wondering where we are." We jumped off our horses leaving them behind a huge tree. Just outside of Morgana's lair there was a huge rock just outside: I ducked down behind it spying waiting for her to leave. "We just waiting here then." Merlin whispers, I roll my eyes at him.
"Well wasn't that your plan." I said sarcastically.
"Yes, but not behind a rock."
"You weren't complaining last night when we were closer than this." I said laughing with a wink.
" I don't know what you're on about I would never your betrothed to Arthur we can never be."
"What if I don't want to be with Arthur, he does not want me."
"He loves you he told me, but his heart is torn." His brown eyes far away at the thought, you could see the hope and loss in shining brightly in them.
"Shush."
I looked over the rock. She stood her long brown hair, long old black dress that scraped along the ground her eyes full of hatred and anger. Her eyes scanned the area before strolling off into the woods.

"Follow me." I followed quickly behind him. We swung open the door fast and hard. "You look that end I will look this end." Merlin demanded.
" I already know where my father is, we don't need to search." I said with a smile.
" Alright you lead the way then." He said rolling his eyes. I turned left straight towards Morgana's bed, where my poor father lay. I felt his pulse, it was weak but there. I sighed with relief.

I waved my hand my eyes flashing gold. My dad hovered over the bed. "You know you can't have him like that when in Camelot."
" I'm fully aware Merlin."
"Well as long as you are then." We headed back off towards the fallen kings with my dad floating next to us.
"What are we going to tell Arthur?" Merlin asked.
"What do you mean, what are we going to tell Arthur?"
"Well what happen between us."
"We can't tell him can we, thought we'd be through this already."
"I know but I feel like there's something between us."
"I feel it too but Merlin you know we can't be anything." My heart ached at the thought but I promised my father, my kingdom: I had to marry Arthur.
