MELODY

Its just a dream seeing myself in this state. I never thought that I have this hidden beauty all this time. It feels surreal yet ecstatic.

"You should always wear make up Melody. Ipakita mo sa kanila ang kagandahang biniyaya sayo." saad ni Ezra.

Napangiti ako sa kanya at ngumiti.

"Soon Ezra, but not today." ang tanging nasagot ko.

"Picture tayo guys." masiglang saad ni Crystal habang may hawak na polaroid camera. Binigay niya ito sa isang bakla at lumapit sa amin. We compressed and posed. Ilang shots din ang kinuha ng bakla bago kami kinunan isa isa.

Si Harmony ang unang kinunan. Of course, her signature fierce look is on. She gave piercing look yet seductively on the camera. By the way, we have different hairstyles and Harmony has whole ponytail with highlights. Sumunod ang ibang myembro at gaya ni Harmony, they never smile on the camera, lahat sila naka-fierce.

"Melody, its your turn." tawag nila sa akin. I positioned myself on a plain white wall. Im not fan of taking pictures kasi unang una, wala akong phone - well, maybe I have, but it has no camera. But it doesn't stop me to give my best pose. I slightly turn to right and I placed my hair on my shoulder, exposing my lavender hair. And just like the others, I bring out my fierce yet sexy look.

Matapos akong makunan, tinignan ko ang picture and I was amaze on how I look. I look mature and bold.

"God, Melody! Hindi ko alam kung makailang ulit ko na itong sinabi pero I can't help it, you're so beautiful." komento ni Ezra habang nakatingin sa picture.

"Thank you." I said.

"C'mon guys, its 4 pm already." tumango kaming lajat kay Harmony at niligpit ang aming mga gamit. 6 pm magsa-start ang program at kailangan before six, nasa campus na kami.

Sumakay kami sa van na service namin at tahimik na bumalik sa school. I spend my time memorizing our chosen song.

Nakarating kami sa backstage ng coliseum or stadium nang hindi nakikita ng kahit na nino man. Of course, we dont want to spoil the audience. We want them to be surprised para madagdagan ang excitement. And hey, we have this tiny little room where we all fit for us to wait until the program started. Kahit saang bahagi yata nang school na ito, may sariling pwesto para sa Elites, Breakers at syempre sa Genesis.

"Gosh! I'm nervous." sambit ni Jewel at bahagya pang pinaypayan ang sarili gamit ang kanyang kamay.

"Let's just think that's it's not a competition and enjoy this night to lessen the pressure." wika ni Harmony. "But of course, we dont just perform, we prove something. And this time, let's prove to them that we are a solid group. That we are superior and of course, a family."

Napangiti ako sa huli niyang sinabi. Im not sure pero I have this instinct that they realized their mistakes.

"How about we practice our performance right now? A little recall lang." suggest ni Pearl at sumang ayon naman kami.

We practiced but we didn't move much. Ayaw naming magmukhang haggard mamaya. Kaya a little movement will do.

Biglang may kumatok sa pinto matapos naming magpractice. Binuksan ito ni Crystal at bumungad sa amin ang isang staff.

"The program is about to start." sabi niya. "On your position girls."

Tumango kami at sumunod sa kanya. Pero habang nakasunod kami sa isang staff, may biglang lumapit sa amin at hindi maipinta ang mukha. Natataranta rin ito at halos hindi makapagsalita.
