Chapter twenty seven:

~Rosia Banks~

"Name?" She asked before scrolling down the list of room numbers.

"Zoe Banks." I told the nurse. Waiting impatiently, I never took my eyes off her as I waited for her to tell me the room number.

"Room 352." She smiled.

"Thank you."

"Do you need me to come in with you?" Ashton asked, his eyes never leaving mine.

"I'll be okay." I assured him.

"Don't forget that the Doctor is going to check up on your nose when you're done seeing your mom."

He pulled me into a tight warm hug before looking down to give me a small peck on the lips. I walked to the door and quickly turned around. He nodded his head giving me a 'go ahead' sign.

Taking a deep breath, I opened the door and smiled as soon as I saw her seating up and chatting to Dave.

Closing the door, I fought back the tears that were filling my eyes.

"Rosia." She whispered.

I ran to her and jumped into her arms enjoying her warm hug as she wrapped her arms around me tightly. Just being given another chance to be in her arms again is something that I couldn't be more grateful for.

"Don't ever do that to me ever again." I mumbled, tears rolling down my cheeks.

"I love you so much honey. Thank you for coming." She whispered in my ear.

"Why wouldn't I come?" I uttered making her chuckle.

"How are you feeling? Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yes, I wasn't feeling so good from the surgery but the doctor gave me pills not to feel pain."

"I'm so happy that you're awake and alive. You have no idea how much you scared me."

"I'm okay sweetie. Don't worry nothing will happen to me." She wiped my tears.

"But something did. How can we be so sure about our safety?"

"Everything will be fine. After this morning we're going to double up on security. Please don't stress."

"I'm going to get some coffee and leave you two." Dave smiled before leaving the room.

We both nodded and watched him leave the room until he closed the door.

"Is Sam okay?"

"Yes, he is fine. I told him you are doing great and he was happy to hear that." I replied.

"Come here." She opened her arms.

I closed my eyes enjoying her hug and rested my head on her chest as she whispered in my ear.

"I love you so much sweetie."

"I love you too Mom." I whispered back.

"What happened to your nose?" She asked.

"I accidentally bumped into Cameron."

"You silly little girl." She teased me.

"I'm so glad you're okay."

"Me too honey."

Enjoying the warmth of her embrace, I closed my eyes as we stayed in perfect silence.

Opening my eyes, I watched as the door opened revealing the doctor.

"Sorry to interrupt you two but Rosia it's time for your check up." She smiled as she stood still at the door.
