"Um - sorry for disturbing." I muttered, looking down as I grabbed my hot chocolate from the counter. I turned on my heel to leave when I felt a hand on my wrist stopping me from moving.
"Don't go." Ashton muttered, his fingers tightened around my wrist.
"Leave me alone." I muttered.
"The bitch is so useless that she couldn't satisfy the man." Ashley smiled devilishly, throwing her hair back with her long red nails.
"I'm going to ask you for the last time, get the fuck out of my house. I've never been yours and I will never be. And if I ever hear you speak to my girlfriend , no actually look at her, I'll fucking kill you. The real bitch here is you. Haven't you noticed? Men don't do desperate bitches." Ashton stared at her, his jaw ticked.
Ashley raised her hand to slap him but he caught it while looking at her with something I'd never seen in his eyes. Hatred.
"Don't you even dare. Get it through your stupid head. I don't like you nor will I ever want you. Now leave. Just looking at you makes me feel disgusted."
She gave me one last "this isn't over" look before walking out of the kitchen. Cameron came in the kitchen followed by Nat and passed her. She looked at him and muttered "move" as she exited the place.
"What happened in here? Did the snake get a taste of her own medicine?" He questioned, his hands in his pockets.
"Something like that." Ashton replied with a stern look on his face.
"Sis, what happened?" Natalie questioned.
I shook my head. "Excuse me." I pulled my wrist out of Ashton's hand and made my way out of the kitchen.
"Ashton, what did you do to her?" I could hear Nat ready to pounce on him.
"Let him run after her. He'll explain later." Cameron said.
I heard footsteps behind me so I decided to walk faster without spilling my hot chocolate. "Rose, please wait."
"What?" I spun around to face him.
He sighed before grabbing my hand and pulling me. "Come with me."
He led me to his room and locked the door before facing me.
"Why did you bring me here?" I asked.
"Are you fucking kidding me? So we can talk."
"About?" I swallowed the lump in my throat.
He began pacing around the room. "You know what it's about." He ran his hands through his wild hair.
"I'm sorry, okay? It wasn't supposed to happen. Ashley is the one who kissed me."
"I know."
"So why are you mad?"
"I'm not mad I'm just disappointed that you allowed it." I replied before taking a sip of my hot chocolate.
"Fuck, you had to hit me with the disappointment line."
"Look, I have a lot going on in my life" I stood up from his white leather couch, "If we're going to be doing the whole dating thing, I don't want any unnecessary drama. My mom is still sick, I have a brother to look after and Dave is trying to get our lives back in order which means I have to take care of mom and Sam. I need someone who will support me and be there with me, not someone who will only make my life more difficult."
He walked closer to me and grabbed my hands while looking down into my eyes.
"I know you're going through a lot in your life and trust me when I say that the last thing I want is to make your life difficult. I have good intentions to make you happy and make life easier for you. I would never want to see you hurt or cause you pain. You're right I shouldn't have allowed Ashley to kiss me. I want you to know that right now you're my first priority. I promise you that I'm going to give my everything to this relationship and make it the best it can be."
