                                 ~Rosia Banks~

It had been two weeks since Nick's party and a lot had happened. The weather had definitely changed and every single day had been cloudy with no sun at all.

Ashton and I performed our drama dialogue last Monday. It was successful even though I was nervous since I have stage fright ,but with Ashton by my side I was feeling much more confident.

I enjoy school each day but having to run into Miles almost every class has been awkward. Every time I'm near him, he looks at me with sorrow in his eyes. He's not even the same Miles I know. The Miles that would always be laughing and a smile would be painted across his face not matter what. Nowadays his more quiet and looks more depressed ever since Nick's party.

Not only have things been weird with him but I don't know where Ashton and I stand. Are we friends or are we more than friends? Normal friends don't kiss , walk together hand in hand or hug a hundred times a day. Okay, maybe the last one is acceptable.

I cleared my thoughts as soon as I saw Hailey's car pull up in the drive way. It was a cloudy and windy Friday morning so I decided to wear my two pairs of socks just to keep warm.

I got in her car and we drove together to school.
I was surprised to see her so quiet when I got in the car. She's not her normal usual happy self.

After a few minutes of thinking about why she was acting weird, I turned to look at her and frowned remembering what day it is.

"It's that day." I heaved a sigh.

She stayed quiet and simply nodded her head. Today was the day when Hailey's father passed on three years ago. She was more close to her dad than her mom. I could still remember the relationship they had and how they wouldn't go a day without saying "I love you" to each other. The bond they had was like no other and it's understandable for Hailey to be acting this way.

Hailey stays with her mother and her wealthy stepfather in one of the richest areas of Los Angeles. She always complains about her stepfather and how he's always trying to play that fatherly role. I honestly get where she's coming from because no one can replace her father.

"Are you okay?" I asked frowning.

"Yeah, I mean there's nothing I can do to bring him back right?"

"Don't worry , you're bond with him was so strong that I bet you his watching over you every second from above." I smiled.

She smiled before turning over to me. "You think?"

"I couldn't be more sure."

"I miss him a lot." She frowned.

"I know Hailey but you have to put that frown upside down." I grinned.

"Thanks Ro-Ro." She smiled.

The rest of the drive was silent and Hailey wasn't so sad anymore which made me happy. There's nothing I hate more than seeing other people upset especially my friends or family.

"So, whats been going on with you and Nick?" I asked breaking the silence.

"I decided to forgive him for what he did and give him one last chance."

"You have a really good heart Hals. Nick is lucky to have someone like you, I mean not just any girl would forgive him so easily."

"I forgave him but I won't open my gates so easily." She shook her head.

"Yes, don't give him what he wants yet, give him a little battle first." I agreed.
