Chapter 7; Due Date

(Lucy's POV)

I got off of my bed, yawning as I stretch.

'Hm..I wonder if Natsu is finally home.'

I walked to my living room. Natsu was sleeping on my couch, peacefully. He looked so cute, though. I grinned.

I then notice something on Natsu's belly. I looked, it was another one of those money sacks.

'If only I get it without waking him up.'

I slowly reached out to the bag, and moving it closer to the sack. Natsu suddenly grabbed my wrist, I gasped.

"....Gray......This is revenge for taking my tabasco sauce!" Natsu muttered in his sleep as he punched the air. I giggled as Natsu let go of my hand. I grabbed the sack, and opened it.

"Another job done, Salamander. That guy had to be tough, huh. Since he steals money.........nevermind. -Nick" I read out loud.

'Woah, this is too much!'

I looked inside the sack, finding a stacks of money.

I placed everything back to normal, and Natsu talked again,"Don't touch Lucy.......she's mine." I blushed and smiled. I was wasting time, so I got ready, ate, and left some food for Natsu.

(Natsu's POV)

~An hour later~

I woke up, and the first thing I saw was the bag of money. I opened it, it was the biggest amount I've ever gotten. And that guy really was Takuro. I thought he was actually a nice guy.

I looked over at the right, Lucy prepared me breakfast. I grinned as my stomach growled. I got ready for school, and I almost forgot the project today. I looked at Lucy's desk. The project was still there. All I needed were words.

'Think Natsu, think.'

Then I remembered what Lucy said to me yesterday....."I could get a detention to be with you. It's always more fun when we're together, right?"

"That's right! 'It's always more fun when we're together'" I figured. I wrote it on the poster, and I brought it to school.

~At School~

I was only 3 minutes late. I sat down at my seat, and turned to Lucy.

I held the poster out,"Almost forgot this."

"Thank you," Lucy smiled. I grinned back.

"Ok then," Happy continued,"Gray and Juvia, please pass your project up." Juvia stood up, with the poster, and walked towards Happy.

"Here you go, Happy-sensei," Juvia smiled as she gave Happy the poster. Everyone was surprised, we never heard Juvia speak before. Happy collected everyone's posters, until he came to Cana.

"Cana, where's your project?" Happy asked.

"My partner is gone. Missing. She didn't attend school for 4 days, and you haven't noticed." Cana sighed. Everyone turned to Lisanna's seat, which was empty, and next to Erza's.

"What........where is she?" Happy was unsure what to do.

'Lisanna........'

(Lucy's POV)

I barely talked to Lisanna. She was nice. I checked on Natsu, I heard that they held the best friendship in elementary school. He had a worried look on his face. I felt something that I was unsure about.

((Which is jealousy.))

"I'll just go tell the principle." Happy said as he went out of the room.
