Chapter 16; Levy's Bodyguard

(Lucy's POV)

~The Next Day~

I looked up, and Natsu smirked at me.

"Good morning Lucy."

"Good morning, Natsu," We rubbed our noses.

"Virgo made us breakfast," he added

"Oh. Let's eat then," I took his hand and walked into the kitchen. I looked at the counter,"Pocky?"

What is Virgo thinking?

"She dared us to play the pocky game..." Natsu scratched his head.

I blushed,"She always goes far trying to get a punishment from me," I crossed my arms.

"We have to do it, it's a dare." Natsu sat down on a chair, patting his lap, gesturing were I sit on.

"Fine." I grabbed the pocky box and sat on his lap. I opened the box, and placed a single pocky in my mouth. Natsu bit on the other end. We chewed until we got closer, and closer, our lips met. We twirled tongues, this was our 2nd time trying out french kissing.

Wait.....Virgo would never plan something like this.

I pulled away, a string of saliva split into two, Natsu wiped it away.

"Natsu, did you set this up just to kiss me?"

"Maybe."

I giggled,"That's one reason why I love you," We continued kissing.

~At School~

(Levy's POV)

I walked towards the school gates, and I saw a tall figure stood there, staring at me.

"Good morning, Shrimp," he smiled and waved.

I stopped, and turned to him,"Why are you waiting for me?"

"Ever since yesterday, I didn't want that to happen again, y'know? So um...I'll protect you at all times." Gajeel scratched his head.

"So, you're my bodyguard now? If you have to protect me at all times, how will you sleep?"

"When you're reading those long books."

"When I take a shower?"

"I'll wait outside."

"How about your classes?"

"Skip them. I really don't care."

"Okay then. It looks like you're officially my bodyguard," I turned and walked towards the school entrance. Gajeel walked next to me.
"This is gonna be a pain....." I mumbled to myself. I saw someone I knew waved at me. I waved back at him. Gajeel punched him.

"What was that for? He's just a member of my book club!" I almost yelled.

"Sorry, I just don't like nerds," Gajeel apologized.

"Howcome you're protecting a nerd then?" I pointed at myself.

"It's just- You're the cutest one." I blushed, did Gajeel really say that, or am I dreaming?

I smiled,"Really?"

Gajeel probably realized by now what he said, he was blushing,"N-no! Uh.....you're just not as lame like the others."

"Okay~" I know he really meant that he said I was cute. We kept walking, heading for Happy's class. It made my day.

"You're really happy today, huh."

"Yup!"

~After school~

It was raining, and Gajeel was serious about being my bodyguard.

"Sorry, I don't have an umbrella," Gajeel apologized as we trudged our feet on the sidewalk.

"It's okay." A car zoomed by us, and the mud from the street sprayed all over us, but mostly me.
"Ugh," I wiped my shirt, even though it doesn't change a thing.

"Wear my blazer," Gajeel took off his blazer and placed it on me.

"But you're going to get sick."

"It's fine."

~At Levy's House~

(Gajeel's POV)

"Mom, can you get two towels please?" Levy called as she opened the door. Levy's mom came out the door and gave us towels.

"Who's this?" She asked.

"He's just a friend."

"Her bodyguard." I clarified.

"Oh. I understand. Stay as long as you like, we have a guest room." We took off our shoes & socks and stepped inside. "Are you two hungry?" Levy's mom asked.

"No thanks, I'm good," I replied.

"Me either," Levy agreed. "Okay. You can go ahead and take a shower." She picked up a book and started reading. "You can go first," Levy suggested. I nodded and went into the bathroom.

I started the water and went in naked. I shampooed my hair and everything. This house has Levy's scent all over it. I took a huge gasp of air, and breathed out. This place is better than mine. I live alone, in an apartment, with only a bed and a kitchen. I was finished, and went out of the shower. I tied a towel around my waist, and opened the door.

"I got some of my dad's clothes for you-" she held out some clothes while staring at me.

"Thanks," I took it and closed the door. Geez, this muscle shirt is tight, but it can work. The pants fit perfectly fine. I opened the door, and we switched. I was waiting outside, crossing my arms. I heard the water running.

My perverted side made me image of what Levy would look like of she was naked. I blushed hard. I heard Levy get into the bath. She sighed. I must be an average pervert for hearing her take a bath. Naked. But I'm a dragon slayer, I hear well.

"EEEEKKKK!" I hear Levy scream. There's my first job as a bodyguard! I barged into the room. "Kill the spider Gajeel! Kill it!" she pointed at the corner of the room. I walked and slapped the spider.

"Killed it." I looked at her.

"Don't look at me!! You idiot!!" Levy slapped me across the face.

I closed my eyes as held my cheek,"You can't slap a spider but you can slap me?"

"S-shut up! Just get out!" I turned and walked out the door. Shit, I messed up, didn't I? I facepalmed my forehead.

~A few minutes later~

I was sitting in Levy's room, and she was brushing my hair. I guess she decided not to remember what happened.

"Your hair is really tangled...." she mumbled.

"I never brush it because I can't reach it."

"I like your hair, I can mess around with it," she made my hair into two pigtails, she giggled. I laughed a little too.
