Chapter 13

"Scar, I didn't want to admit this but I have to. I am taking the risk. I have thought about that for so long. I...." He looks at me so deeply..and says "I...I like you Scar...I really like you."

"You what?" I choke on my words not believing what he just said. He looks at me and smiles sweetly. "I like you, Scarlett. I really like you." I am shocked. Luke likes me as in really likes me!! I can't believe that he confessed like this. I can't deny that I don't like him too. I don't know what to do. My heart is beating so fast and everything just seems to fade away. I can't think. I can't do anything. I take a deep breath. Luke takes both of my hands, he holds them and he looks deeply at me. I smile with so much excitement not believing it. He nods at me happily and I nod too. I wrap my arms around his neck and I hug him. He embraces me with so much passion. It's like our souls are hugging too. "I like you too." I whisper to him, he wraps his arms tightly around my waist and he lifts me up from the ground still hugging me. I think I am happy. I think I finally found the meaning of my life. Luke lets me down on the ground again and before our bodies leave each other. He brings his mouth to the side of my head and he plants a soft kiss there. I smile and he smiles too then we sit together and eat our meals.

"Good choice Luke. McDonald's has always been my favorite." I say a mouthful. He cocks his head to the right and he smiles broadly. "I realized that when I took you to Mcdonald's, Remember?"I smile happily. "How can I forget!" I say and he smiles at me cheerfully while running his hand on the back of his neck. "So what do you wanna do now?" He asks me as he takes the last bite of his sandwich. I shrug my shoulders "I don't know." I say as I get up from my stool. I start collecting the empty McDonald's bags and boxes then I throw them in the trash pin. I return to my stool again and I sit on it. I take a glance at Luke and I find him staring at me with a wide smile on his face. I smile shyly at him and I look the other way. "Scarlett blushing. That's a first." He says and I raise my head to look at him again. I nudge his shoulder "Stop teasing me, Please."
He laughs "Okay, Okay."

Luke.........

"Come on, let's sit on the sofa. That stool is so uncomfortable." She says pointing out to the sofa on the other side of the room.

"I agree. Is your brother here by the way or are you alone?" I ask her and she avoids looking at me. That sparkle that was once in her eyes not from so long just seems to disappear. She stands up and she walks to the other side of the room "Don't worry about him. He is in Australia." I get up from the stool too and I follow her "Are you from Australia or Is it just work?"

"Yeah, I am from Australia. My brother goes there often to visit my mother's grave and our old house, he pays the bills and other things like that." She sits on the sofa and I go sit beside her. I rest my arms on the back of the sofa and I let out a relaxing sigh. Scar looks at me with a smile on her face and she then chuckles "Was the stool that uncomfortable?"

"My ass can answer this question." I say sarcastically and we both laugh.

"Wanna watch a movie?" Scar asks me and I nod.

"Sure." I say and She stands up, she makes her way to the T.V in front of us. She turns it on when she brings some CDs. She sits beside me.

"So which movie?" She asks while looking through the CDs in her hands. I sit closer to her and I look at the CDs with her.

"Romance? Action? Sci-Fi? Drama?" She says flipping through the CDs.

"That one seems nice." I say pointing out to some CD in her hands.
