CHAPTER 1 – The New Girl

Last where we left off was Chase and Allie ending in nasty split in Fiji.

 They lived their separate lives after that. Chase, now, puts all his effort into work. Jetting off to distant places and learns more about architecture and culture. He meets new people and discovers things that he hasn't seen before.

Allie moves to Queens and started to write and compile some of her cooking recipes for her upcoming cook book. She's also starting to travel around the world and being sponsored by her publishers to explore some exotic cuisines in a foreign country. 

Chase jets to Santorini, Greece for his upcoming project for another client. It's been five months since the break up and he's still trying to move on and be happy. 

When he landed he got picked up by the driver and went straight to his hotel, Tholos Resort in Cyclades, Santorini Greece. He rested in his room for a while before dining alone by the cliff in front of the gorgeous view. 

The next day, he met his client, John Dugan by the port. They took a speed boat ride to John's yacht just off the coast of Cyclades. "Chase, I heard so much about you from your father." John said as they board his yacht. "Yeah?" He asked feeling flattered. "Yes, I looked at some of the designs you sent me a week ago and I liked the third one." John said. "Excellent! I'll have someone look over the location and everything to make the dream house that you want." Chase replied. "And now, enjoy the party." John said and then disappeared. 

Chase wore a white long sleeved buttoned down with collar shirt tucked in his navy blue shorts paired with his brown boat shoes. He brushed up his hair to the side and wore his Ray Ban club master sun glasses. He grabbed a drink from the waiter and went around the boat. He was surrounded with gorgeous women wearing bikinis and sundresses everywhere, powerful men and many others. 

Chase went up to the deck of the boat with a drink in his hand and looked out to the sea. He looks around the boat and sees a blonde woman wearing a white sundress wearing a black hat for girls paired with her black round Persol sunglasses. He caught her eye and she smiled at him. She was with her friends and he was alone, he checks his phone acting coyly so she won't think he's staring at her. Then when her friends left her, she approached him.

"Bonjour! Je m'appelle Isabella Martins. Comment vous appelez-vous? (Hi! My name is Isabella Martins. What's your name?)" She introduced herself in French. He smiles at her and extends his arm and kisses her cheeks. "Enchanté Madame Martins, je m'appelle Chase Everett. Je parle un petit peu Français. (Nice to meet you, Mrs. Martins, my name is Chase Everett. I can speak French a little.)" He said trying to impress her. 

"I'm just playing with you. I actually speak English." She said and laughs. Chase smiles, "That's a pretty good joke." He said and laughs with her. "So how do you know John?" He asked. "Dugan?" She clarified and Chase nodded in agreement. "John was my friend from college. We studied medicine together." She said and sips her drink. "Oh really?" He teased. 

"Yes, how do you know John?" She asked. "He's my client. I'm making his house here in Greece." He said proudly. "Oh so you're an architect." She said. "And I take it you're a doctor?" He asked. "I'm a vet." She replied. "That's interesting." He said and smiled at her. "Well, it was nice knowing you." She said and tried to leave but Chase grabbed her hand, she looked back at him. 

"Chase!" John called out popping out of the door and approaching the two of them. "I see you two have met." He said. "Yes, yes we have." Isabella said. "Chase, this is Isabella and she's newly single, enjoy!" John joked and then left to go flirt with a model on his yacht. Chase laughs, "What's so funny?" She asks. "Just the way he said it. (Air quotes) 'Newly single' what was that about?" He joked. "Why? I am newly single; I just got out of a relationship." She said firmly.
