The Surprise- Part One

I woke up to the sound of my phone alarm blaring. I hurriedly turned it off, as not to wake the slumbering oaf beside me. Rolling back over, I gazed at his peaceful face. His breathing was calm and quiet as I gently left a kiss on his lips.

Using my ninja skills, I crawled out of his bed. Then I snuck into his bathroom to take a shower. Being as quiet footed as I could, I got dressed and made my way downstairs.

'Hey Haz,

Took your car to work. Hope you don't mind ;) You were sleeping too good for me to disturb you. Don't forget about tonight. Pick up the cake at 3:30. Love you!<3 ~Hailie'

After leaving a quick kiss on the note, I headed to work. I already knew it was going to be a long day, since I couldn't wait to get to the surprise(birthday)party I had been planning for Vera and Emma for almost three months.

I sang along to the radio on my way there. It was such a beautiful day. I almost regretted going into the stuffy office building.

Walking in, I went straight to work. I sat at my desk and shuffled through today's work load. I sorted through the files and emails I had received over the weekend, and before I knew it, it was lunch time.

My whole lunch hour I spent laughing with coworkers that had become great friends. Then I went to Sally and helped her with her left over work. Pretty soon, it was almost time to go.

"Oh I forgot to mention, they wanted you to sit in on an interview and take notes, it could be your next big step up!" Sally smiled at me, as I began packing up for the day.

"How long would it take?" I questioned.

"20 to 30 minutes, you've got to do it, it's a great chance!" Sally urged. Well, I guess I could be a little late for the party?

"Uh, um...sure. I guess I can."

"Great, right this way," she cheered and walked out into the hallway.

She lead me a ways down to an open conference room. I walked in and say in the back with pen and paper. A few minutes later, the interviewee arrived and it began. It only lasted 15 minutes, thank goodness.

"Well, I've got to get going, goodbye!" I called over my shoulder, running out. It was extremely rude, but I had to get going.

I had been planning this surprise for ages, ever since that night I sent out the emails to each of the boys explaining my idea for 'revenge'. Now, I know a party isn't really revenge, but I wanted to be nice for once. Honest.

The boys had agreed to do anything I needed them to. I put Niall and Zayn over food, Louis over party games and tunes, and Liam and Harry over decorations. I set everything up, made the invitations, ordered a cake, made sure the girls got off on time. This was going to be a great surprise party for them both, and a half birthday celebration for Vera.

'I'm running late, work, sorry! Be there in...' I looked up from typing my message to Harry to see the front of the vehicle tip off the side of the bridge.

Before I could come out of my shock, the car was fully underwater and the windows had started to break. I prayed to God to take care of my family and friends, help them move on, and lastly that he would take good care of Harry. I let my final breath go as I began to remember all the good times in my life, Harry's face was the last thing I saw. My Harry...
