The moon glowed softly... Its shine barely lighting the dark city streets. Fading wisps curled around the darkness, as if welcoming a lover.
The sun was to raise in a few hours... Even still, the moon hadn't moved an inch...
A sigh sounded through the cursed streets. It would've gone unnoticed in the morning, but this wasn't the morning yet...
"So stupid," They grumbled under their breath as they moved from shadow to shadow with practice. "you pitiful creature." They continued, cornering a monster in the darkness of an alley.
The thing was larger than a Polar Bear, it's eyes being a blood red color. The monsterous thing had claws that dug into the concrete as if it was water, fangs sharp as swords matching them; the thing's fur was an oily, midnight black color, it seemingly dripping off like tar.
The monster whined in fear of the dark clothed person in front of it. The person was stronger than it... The new creature was smarter and faster... And the vile thing knew this...
"Good night, nightmare." The dark clothed being raised its blade high in the air and swung down.
All was calm that night... No one made a sound... Not even the wind dared to speak.
